• It was getting cold. But I had no idea where I was. I was laying there with a huge gash in my right shoulder, a lot of bruises and scrapes all over my body, and a knife sticking out of my stomach. How did I get here? Why am I all beaten up? Who am I? I didn’t think I’d live long enough to find out. I could tell I was fading fast. I looked at my surroundings and saw I was just outside the gates of a very small village. I don’t now how but I recognized the village. I could see people on the inside walking. I tried using my voice but nothing came out. My only hope was if one of the people saw me. But that didn’t seem likely. Then just when I was about to give up hope I saw a little girl about 5 years old staring at me. She was walking with her mother. She pulled on her mother’s shirt then when the mother looked at her she pointed to me. The mother looked at me and frightened and worried look came to her face. She took the little girls hand and started running over to me. She got to me and knelt down saying, “Oh my god, are you ok. Help somebody help me.” A few more people came over and a few others ran to their homes to call the police and an ambulance. A few minutes later a white ambulance truck arrived and drove me away. When I got to the hospital everyone was asking questions. The one I most heard was, “Who is she?” That’s what I was wondering. They took me in a room and once I saw needles on the walls I blacked out. When I woke up there was a pain all over me and a lot more pain in my right shoulder and my stomach. I looked down at my stomach to see the knife had been pulled out. I had bandages all over your body. No one was operating on me anymore. I tried to say, “Where am I?” but it came out, “Were ma yaw?” I doctor looked at me and said, “Did you say something ma’am?” “Where an I?” I asked getting a little more understandable. “Where are you, oh you’re at the Recness town hospital, well it’s not much of a hospital just a two floors,” the doctor explained. The name of the town was familiar but I didn’t now how. I looked at the doctor and said, “Who am I?” “You don’t now who you?” the doctor asked surprised. I shook my head no, which was a bad idea because it hurt like crazy. “What happened to me?” I asked. The doctor looked at me surprised. “We think you were attacked and left by the village, do you remember anything,” he asked. “No, why does the town name sound so familiar, what‘s your name?” you couldn’t put your finger on it but it seemed like you knew this man from a long time ago. “My name is Doctor Jason Chamler,” he answered. Then I remembered a little. Why Recness town was so familiar. It was my home town. I was born here and I remember I had been chased out of it by someone. And there was something else. A person, no three people. Three people that were important here. I don’t now how but I had to find out what had happened to me and fix it.
