• Chapter 1: A Beast in Human Form

In the sunlight, Godis Peridot looked like an angel. He was absolutely flawless. Godis had windswept black hair that stood cropped in short spikes on his head. His eyes were an emerald green that, in the light, sparkled brighter than the gem itself. That boy looked the picture of 'Tall, Dark, and Handsome/' minus the 'dark,' for his skin was very pale, almost transluctant.

He was the person every girl had a crush on and the student even the teachers admired. They considered him a god, an angel, or a miracle, but they never once thought of the evil twin of the angel:the demon. He was the demon of demons, God's mistake; he was the human's greatest fear, if only they knew. Godis was a vampire. But not one person could figure this.... this 'image of perfection' was a blood-devouring angel from hell.

The truth was that his seductive beauty was just a lure for his favorite midnight snack: humans. Animals, however, were smart. When Godis came near, they all hid to save themselves. Unlike us, they knew what was coming if they stayed to admire this beautiful stranger.

Godis was a beast in human form, but the truth was, what could he do about it? It's not like he chose to be.... be this. He was born into a family of vampires, so even if he had a choice, it wouldn't matter. His future was set, and nothing could change that terrible fate.

    What else was there?

    Chapter 2:Moving

When the school day ended, he drove off to thestate prison to dispose of some convicts in an attept to quench his thirst without having to live with the guilt of killing innocent people. The trip took longer than the 5 minute slaughter. Wiping the leftover blood off his mouth, he gracefully slid into his black Lamborghini and swiftly backed out of the parking lot. He sped past the real world at 95 mph, not stopping to even look out the window at the change in scenery.

When he got home, someone was standing in his driveway waiting for him to arrive. The kind expression on the girl's face told him her name was Julia Knowles. She was in his German, Triginometry, and Geology classes, and she was a very quiet but sweet person.

"Hello, Julia," he sweetly said, thinking of what a shame it would be to lose her, "Why are you here?"

She blushed and replied, "Well, I came to see if you were okay. You really flew out of Trig when the bell sounded and school let out." She couldn't even look Godis in the eye when she presented her observations to him. He smirked.

"I'm fine, just in a hurry to get home so i can...... umm....... teach my new pet.... puppy to learn to.... do tricks?" He had to change his story quite a bit, as not to raise suspiscion of him being all alone for some strange reason.

"Well," she started, obviously trying to figure out the lie he had told, "Can I see your new puppy? I would love to see your house, as well." She started blushing again and hung her head even lower.

He had no idea what to do. He had no puppy, for they all cowered in fear and ran away whenever he came near. What if..... he started, the poor puppy ran away while I was at school. I will have to get out the artificial tears, though. Vampires couldn't cry, for their bodies couldn't produce tears... only venom.... He was about to fill out his plan, when suddenly she lifted her head and studied him briefly, asking "Did you get cut?" at the end of the search.

"What?" he asked, perplexed, "No! Why?"

"Um.... you have blood on your collar," she whispered in his ear, as if someone else was in hearing reach. He looked down at his shirt, and, just as Julia had told him, there was a rather large spot of blood on the collar of his white button-down shirt. He frowned. "Did someone spill blood on you?" she asked, trying to find out the origin of the red spot on his shirt.

    "No." he simply stated.

"Well, if you didnt get cut and someone didn't spill the blood on you..." she paused, trying to think out what her observations had brought her to. Godis started to frown deeper than before. The way her assumptions were going, she would eventually figure out his secret, and he would have to kill her to protect the secret. He didn't like the idea of disposing of sweet little Julia. She finally spoke the deadly words with a panicky voice, "Then you must be a.... a... a... vampire."

He quietly confirmed her assumptions "Yes I am. I am so sorry that i have to do this." He then took her inside and, the moment he closed the door, lunged for her neck.

Once the gruesome task was finished, he started packing up. Once he had his backpack filled with all his clothes and a few indespensible personal items, the called his best friend and told him in a monotonous voice, "I'm moving."
