• Shelok was furious, not only had Fenrir evaded her once again, it also seemed that word his rebellion has spread and caused uprising among her people. She called in one of her servants and told him to bring her best soldiers to the throne room, he bowed quickly and left as fast as humanly possible. She smiled to herself, she was glad that the humans were afraid of here, they should be, she was no ordinary human, she was a Reaper. A bell in a nearby monastery rang; it was midday, time for her to feed. At the last toll of the bell the doors to the throne room opened and a procession of woman and children entered followed by the soldiers Shelok requested. The doors shut quickly behind them and she stood slowly from her throne, she savored the smell of their fear, she heard their cries for mercy but ignored them. She went down the line of them draining their souls from their bodies, stopping occasionally to regain control of herself, the soldiers stood there watching her unflinching. When she came to the last woman she picked her up by her throat and held her in the air. The woman begged for Shelok to let her go but Shelok still held her then drained her soul slowly from her and then dropped her body onto the marble floor. She walked back up to her throne and sat before the soldiers, the air was tense around them as she spoke in a voice that sounded as old as time itself, “You know that my Black Hand has once again evaded me,” the soldiers stood there stiff as she continued, “I want you to find him, but do not confront him, observe him, find some weakness I can exploit.” The soldiers saluted her and stood there for a few moments before she exclaimed, “What are waiting for, GO!!!!” They quickly filed out and shut the heavy iron doors behind them. Shelok thought to herself as she sat alone in the empty hall, “How easily these humans are persuaded, all you need is to instill fear in them and they will follow your every command.”
