    Day 1:
    Bad day
I woke up the morning of a history test. Ugh. Bad morning all ready. I awoke and slammed my fist down on the buzzing alarm clock. Snooze. I woke back up 30 minutes later only to fall out of my bed due to my annoying alarm clock going off again. After grabbing a beer from my dad’s liquor cabinet, I headed for school. Usually some college hotshot who’d come beat the crap out of me, but not today. The first good thing to come out of this morning. In fact, I didn’t notice anybody this morning. When I came to a stoplight, the light was red. I looked around. Not a person in sight. No cars going by either. I waited at least 5 minutes before just running across the street. No cops. No cars. No people. I finally arrived at the school only to find the door barricaded heavily. I went around back and pushed the dumpster away from the door. I had to run up against the door to get it to open. It was freaking pitch black inside! I grabbed an emergency flashlight hanging on the wall and shined it all around the hallway. I finally saw another human sitting across the hall. I was overjoyed to know I wasn’t the only one here. I shouted out to him. He looked up at me really fast. His pupils were heavily dilated. He was as pale as a cloud. He had blood seaming from his mouth. I noticed next to him was a half eaten body. “Holy crap!” I shouted a quickly moved the flash light back to the cannibalistic person, who was now standing and looking ready to outrun a cheetah. I took a step back steadily, but by the time my foot hit the ground he dashed towards me with a sinister look in his eyes. I ran down the hall as fast as I could possibly run. I just barely got out before the… the… Whatever it is did. I shut the steel back door. It pounded against the door. I thought it would hold with just it being locked. I put my hands on my knees while bending down to rest as I tried to catch my breath. Then the first bolt on the door came flying off! I looked up and there was a hole in the door! In the freaking steel door! I pushed the dumpster from before back in front of the door. I got it there just before the last bolt flew off. Thankfully the banged up door wouldn’t budge with all that weight in front of it. I didn’t want to take any chances. I ran the second the dumpster was in place. I stopped running once I hit the quiet little park. I searched every square inch. Nothing out of the ordinary. And still no homo sapiens! I took a seat on the bench and rested. I must have been really comfortable because I’d fallen asleep. Big mistake. I woke up and it was getting dark. Luckily there was still sunlight in the park but there was darkness around it due to buildings blocking out the low sun. Everywhere that had shade was one of those things. Pale. Pupils dilated. Bloody. Scary. They walked around like normal people. Then I noticed that these things were once people. I recognized some of them as people from school or from other social gatherings. I watched in amazement as these things just walked around and filled Detroit city. They all looked hungry and I had a feeling of what they ate. I should leave, but how could I? I was surrounded. Then I noticed my backpack was still on me. I had some beer left in it. I just happen to have some rags and a lighter in it too. And of course, I found some rope hanging on a tree. Molotov Cocktails. A half hour past by, and I was running out of sunlight. It seemed like they couldn’t go into sunlight, that’s why I was safe while sleeping. The cocktails were ready. I carefully rapped them and stuffed them into my emptied pack. I headed out to the direction of my dad’s house. I’ll prepare more cocktails there. He also has a gun there somewhere. I unpacked the cocktails and began lighting some. I backed up and threw one. That then attracted more, some my plan wasn’t working yet. I decide to throw a cocktail at them to see what would happen. The ones caught by the small explosion seemed to die. The others surrounding began to back off that was my queue. I threw my jacket of to reveal my “Tony Hawk” shirt and I rand threw the fire, covering my face. I then threw off my shirt, which indeed caught on fire. They began running after me. The students I could easily out run, and most of the women, but the men were gaining on me incredibly fast. I looked for some sort of exit. There! A train station! I could shut the gates! That would hold them long enough for me to escaped… I hope. I proceeded with the plan, but the gate wouldn’t close all the way! What next for crying out loud! I had to kick it 3 times, hard, to get it to close all the way. I think I broke my toe doing so also. I limped down the non-moving escalader to approach the main lobby in waiting for the train. To my surprise a train pulled up. I just looked at it, eyes wide open. It must be automatic or something. I didn’t want to take any chances in case there were more of those people on board the train. As it took off I saw thousands of dead bodies on it. They were ripped apart and had giant chunks bit of. This wasn’t a person’s doing, no human being could be that big. As the last car went by I noticed a huge, black, four armed creature in the back. Yep, I was right, definitely not human at all. It was just covered in gallons of blood. It zipped by without stopping. I had one thought right now. I’m having a really bad day.
