• “It’s no use crying over spilled milk.”
My best friend said, I mean my EX-best friend said.
“After all, it was going to happen even-“
    I cut her off shouting,
” How could you be so mean! My brother just died! I thought you were my friend! I guess you’re not!”
I ran off before she had a chance to say a word. Little did I know that my rash actions made my best friend my worst enemy.

It’s been years since then and Kate has been mean to me ever since that day. She even got a kitten right after! I always wanted a kitten and her kitten would have been perfect for me. Grrrrrrrr, I hate Kate so much! As usual, Kate and her group of friends were making fun of me.
    “Hey look! It’s Christy Crybaby!”
“Leave me alone, or are you guys gonna keep making fun of me to feel better about yourselves?”
    “Now you’re in trouble you….you….”
    “You b***h!”
“A b***h is a female dog, a dog barks, bark grows on a tree, a tree is a part of nature and nature is beautiful so thanks for the compliment.”
With that said, I walked off leaving them standing there stunned.
“Morons.” I muttered under my breath before falling thanks to someone tripping me. I gathered up all my things and stood up before realizing that something was missing, my diary.
    “Hey what’s this?”
I looked up to see what they were talking about and saw my diary!
“I bet its Christy’s diary, she’s had that stupid thing forever.”
    “Let’s see what’s in it!”
Before I could take a single step, they were gone. I looked at my watch, great, just great, I didn’t have time to go after them. I got home and did my homework before planning how to get my diary back and pull of an evil prank on them while I was at it. Why not? They deserved it, but my plotting was interrupted by my mom’s voice.
“Kate! I haven’t seen you around here in years!”
Crap! My mom didn’t know about me and Kate, she thought we were still friends!
“Hey, can I go up and see Christy?”
“Of course! She’s up in her room.”
    “K, thanks.”
I bet she’s come to torment me some more. Grrrrrrr, I hate her so much! I can’t even do anything without getting in trouble! Wait, I can still- My thinking was cut off by Kate coming in my room.
“Hey Christy, I brought you something.”
I just glared daggers at her as she brought out, wait a sec, is that my diary?!?! It was! But Kate would never be so nice to me. I took it back cautiously while asking,
“Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden?”
    “Well…”
    -Flashback-

We were reading her dairy, laughing and making fun of her. Then we found the entry from that day, that horrible day, the day her brother died and we became enemies. I read how she felt about that, how she felt about what I said and what that made her think of me. I was shocked to find that and thought everyone else was laughing about it, I felt guilty. It changed me.
    -End of flashback-

“Let’s just say I had a change of heart”
“Ok… whatever, thanks for giving me my diary back, I guess.”
    “No prob.”
    There was an awkward silence.
“Well, if that’s all you came for you can leave now.”
“Ya, well see you Christy… and sorry for what I said that day…and for everything else too…”
That’s all it took, suddenly we were both crying.
“I’m so sorry! It’s all my fault! I never let you finish what you were gonna say!”
“No, it’s my fault! I shouldn’t have said that!”
“It’s ok! But what were you gonna say?”
“It’s no use crying over spilled milk, it was gonna happen eventually. It’s still tragic though and I might not know how you feel but I’ll always be here for you.”
“I’m so sorry! I ran off without letting you finish! I ruined our friendship!”
“It’s ok Christy. You know my cat, Angel, right?
    “Ya…”
“Well, I got her for you, I thought you’d like her and it might’ve helped…”
    “Thank you so much!”
“No problem, after all… wait a sec, does this mean we’re friends again?”
    “Best friends forever!”
