• Whitney walked along that dirt path for hours. She was in pain. Hard hitting pain that was now circulating throughout her limbs, making her numb. Too many things were going through her mind. Will I see my family ever again? Could I go home and see them even though I know Im no longer their daughter?

Her Fall out Boy green t-shirt was drenched in her own blood. She could feel herself slipping away with every step she took. Images of the incident was invading her mind.

Her walking home from school, getting grabbed from behind and then the pain. Pain beyond her own dreams and nightmares had traveled from the base of her neck to her right shoulder.

She woke up alone, confused and thirsting for something not of her nature. She could feel herself slipping away even though she was physically there. It took her moments to realize what was happening to her.

Thunder and lightning was now taking over the sky...Just to make matters worse. What did I do to deserve this? She asked herself. Her human memories were slowly fading into the shadows. A new Whitney was to emerge through this whole experiance.

She stood in the middle of a field, staring up at the darkened sky with tears slipping through the corners of her emerald green eyes. "What is happening to me?!"She yelled out loud. She covered her mouth with her hand. Her voice was different. It was no longer a low and joyful voice everyone was so use to. It was lighter and more musical.

"Im not human...."She muttered under her breath. Her hand traveled to her neck, where she found two puncture marks within her neck. Her expression went blank.

Whitney had thought they were all myths. That they were only in books and movies. Not in real life. But here she sat, feeling the change begin to take effect upon her body.

Her skin was even paler then its usual shade. She didn't dare look in the puddle that was forming infront of her by her knees. She would probably look like death itself if she did.

She was no longer human....She was indeed a vampire. How could she live her life now? How could she go home and try not to imagine herself feeding on her own family?

She curled up into a ball on the ground of that field, and cried her emerald eyes out. She would live forever and never truely see her family again. She would see everyone she knew and love, grow old and die while she remained the same age forever.
