• Gym class had always been Kyoto's favorite. Not only because Kyrie was in it, but because he was naturally fast and athletic. The gym teacher, Coach Stryder, made them run seven laps and then walk. Kyoto was so fast he practically walked by himself. Around the fifth lap, the images came back. This time, they were different. Why now? Couldnt they have waited until after gym? Maybe so that Kyrie wouldnt think he was completlely crazy? The coach came over.
" Hey, son. You okay? What's wrong?"
Kyoto almost growled at him. Couldnt teachers and counselors mind their own business instead of being all "help me to help you". Nobody could help him. Besides, he had bigger problems. He coulld see a man entering the school front doors. He had luminous, pale skin and black hair. Kyoto could see his fangs, but more inportantly, a small needle in his pocket. The man, now a vampire, as far as Kyoto could tell, was wearing a black cloak and heading toward the gym. The vampire muttered a single word:
    "Kyrie"
Kyoto's eys opened slowly. The whole gym was spinning, but he only had seconds until the vampire came into the gym. He had to find her. Coach Stryder was still crouched next to him.
" Kyoto? C,mon, say something. Are you feeling alright?"
Kyoto pushed him away. Yes, of course he was feeling just perfect. His life was completely normal. How could anything in this peaceful world possibly go wrong? Kyoto almost laughed at his own sarcasm. He looked around. Everybody was staring at him. Except Kyrie.
" Coach, where's Kyrie? Where is she?"
The coach was looking as if somewone had hurt his feelings.
" Uh, outside in the hall. Getting water. You sure you feeling okay? You look pretty bad..."
Kyoto didnt stick around to hear him and ran toward the gym doors. Yeah, he may have looked "bad", but coach wasnt exactly beautiful either. Exiting the gym, he looked around. The water fountain was nearby, but Kyrie wasnt there. Wait. A thought froze him in his tracks. How could he be so stupid? If Kyrie had gone out of the gym, and the man hadnt entered the gym yet, then... Suddenly, he heard a van start. Somebody screamed. He would recognize her voice anywhere. By the time he got outside, he saw a white van pull away from the parking lot and onto traffic. Oh, well. Time for a chase sequence. He phased and ran after it, his large paws pounding the pavement and causing the alarms from cars to go off. He leapt over a car entering the school parking and weaved through traffic, sidesteppping the cars that were going out of control because either the driver was too shocked or was busy sreaming. Bystanders started to stare after him, while others started running around yelling. One even took out his cellphone. Miracle cops hadnt shown up yet. Despite all the chaos, he kept his attention focused on the white van, and the person he loved inside it.
