I slammed my hands on the table as I stood up and knocked the chair out of beneath me. “What!” I hissed between gritted teeth.
The president of the class looked up at me as if it was the first time that I had ever talked. He lowered his glasses to the bottom of his nose. “As I clearly stated, Osaki will play the part of Princess Isabelle.” He said looking at the paper.
I picked up my chair and slumped in it, the part of Isabelle was the biggest part in the play.
“The part of the bodyguard will go to-.” The president flipped the page back and fourth a few times then looked up to the back of the class room. He got a sick look on his face and looked at the teacher. “Ms. Patterson, I don’t think that he is going to do something like this.”
The teacher looked up at the president and stood up to look at the name. “Kire,” she stated.
I heard a seat squeak as it moved across the linoleum. I slowly turned looking form underneath my bangs. I knew exactly whom it was I was just hoping that I was completely wrong. But, I wasn’t. He stood up and ran his hand through his blue hair, looking up at the teacher with his fresh blood colored eyes. There was no other way to describe is eyes other then cold and disturbed. I didn’t know too much about Kire, but I did know that he was a player amongst players.
“Yeah,” He asked dropping his eyes to the paper that lay on his desk.
“Kire you are going to be playing the park of Damion.” She said as she looked back up at the president.
The president cleared his throat. “Um, and the part of-“
“Wait,” Kire chimed in as he quickly passed by my seat. The breeze from his quickness almost blew my test sheet off my desk. I grabbed it in mid air and took a deep breath. He pissed me off so bad. “Well if I’m going to play the Bodyguard. Then who is going to play the Princess?” He asked looking over the paper. He turned around and faced the class. The girls all swooned and the guys groaned. I sank into my chair and hid behind my book.
“Rayne Osaki.” He looked over the class then back at the paper and then back at the class. He turned around looked at the teacher. “Is she even in this class?”
I almost fell out of my chair. I knew that he was bad with names but he could have at least asked who the girl was. I growled under by breath, and stood up quickly regretting it.
The teacher looked around Kire and smiled. “Miss Osaki, are you alright?” She asked.
Kire turned around to look at me and smiled. “Well,” He answered.
I gathered together my books muttering unintelligible things under my breath. “I have to go to the nurse.” I hissed.
Sarai stood up after me. “I will take her.” She said with a childish smile.
I looked over at Sarai and smiled. She should have gotten the part of the Princess God knows that she deserved it. She was perfect for the part. Her hair was long and blond her eyes the prettiest shade of lavender, her body type was small and petite.
Sarai looked back and returned the smile. She looked back up and got an even bigger smile when she laid her eyes on Kire.
I rolled my eyes and walked out of the classroom. I ended up alone, since the teacher wouldn’t let Sarai out of her sight.
I laid in the bed and looked up at the pale cracked ceiling that was above me.
“Miss Osaki, what’s wrong you never come in here anymore?” The nurse said as she chewed on the end of her hot pink cat eye glasses. “Not since you began to make friends.” She said with a chuckle.
I turned around in the bed and faced the window. “I have run into a huge problem.” I groaned underneath my breath.
“Hmm,” She said as she placed her hand on my shoulder. “How are things with your family?” she asked as she sat down. “Is everything still calm?”
I slowly turned my body around and sat up. I place my folded arms on my knees and my head on my arms. “No everything is just fine.” I whispered. “It’s school that I am worried about.” I pushed a long strand of my onyx hair behind my pierced ear. “I don’t know what’s wrong, I am sorry that I bugged you.” I hissed.
“Now, now relax.” She whispered softly as she rubbed my knee. “You really shouldn’t be so un happy with your self.”
I looked up and nodded. “I am sorry, I really should be going. Mother is going to worry.” I whispered as I stood up and straightened out my skirt.
The nurse stood up after me and sighed.
I looked back at her and smiled, showing her that I was alright. “Mother really will be angry.” I whispered as I headed out of the room.

I walked down the quiet halls and towards my locker. I took a deep cleansing breath and dialed the com on my lock. ‘3, 7, 28, 49’ I whispered softly.
“Hey girl,” a high voice said from behind me. I jumped a little then turned my head to see Sarai standing there. “Whoa, no need to jump it’s just me.” She whispered with a smile.
“I-I know, I was just a little jumpy.” I said as I placed my things in my locker, closed it and locked it up. “I am going home.”
Sarai leaned up against one of the lockers and groaned. “Oh my God,” she whispered. “This isn’t about the play is it? You can’t be that spooked.”
I glared at her and kept walking.
She caught up with my quickly. “You get to star beside Kire, you should be ecstatic!” She squealed.
“How can I be excited to star against him? I am so different then him it’s not even funny.” I looked at the ground as I tightened my eyes. “He doesn’t even know who I am!” I hissed.
Sarai stopped and looked at me. “Is that what is bothering you? That he didn’t know who you were?”
I nodded. “That is one of the main reasons.” I whispered. “I am going home!” I growled opening the door and walking off before Sarai could say anything more.

I walked quickly down the side walk towards the student parking lot. I folded my arms across my chest like I always did when I walked past the cafeteria eating place. I heard some guys joking around and laughing, but I didn’t look up.
“Hey!” I heard a male voice yell.
I still didn’t look up because I knew that if I did I would be completely embarrassed because they weren’t talking to me.
“Hey! Hey you,” I heard it again but I kept walking.
I heard heavy footsteps following behind me. I started to walk faster.
“Hey, Osaki right?” he grabbed my shoulder.
I turned around and looked up at him. It was Kire.
    “Yeah,” I answered.
He smiled his playboy smile and crossed his arms across his chest. “So you’re the one opposition me.”
I nodded. “But I am going to tell them tomorrow that I don’t want the part. “ I whispered. “So you don’t have to worry.”
Kire stared at me, then one of the ends of his smile pulled up. “Your that afraid of me.” He said with a chuckle. “I thought you would be up to that challenge. But,” he turned around and held up his hands.
I watched him and suddenly got the urge to grab him. “What the hell does that mean?” I hissed as I grabbed his arm.
He turned and looked at me. “I thought you would be stronger and put me in my place.” He said with a laugh. “But I was wrong.” He chuckled.
I glared at him. “Oh no,” I growled. “I am going to do this play whether or not. I will show you that you are wrong about me and I will make you remember my name.” I hissed.
He crossed his arms across his chest and gave me his crooked smile. “Well then, I’ll be looking forward to that.”
I shuddered and looked away. What the hell was he thinking, or more important what the hell was I thinking? When I looked back up he was already with his friends laughing and talking as if nothing happened. I shook my head and walked to the parking to forget what happened with Kire. I got into my car and started it. Slowly easing out of the parking lot I caught a glimpse of Kire and he was staring at me. He smiled then looked back at his friends.
