    Chapter 1

"Oh wow, Yoru," Ikuto said blankly. Yoru appeared on Ikuto's shoulder. "Nya? What it is?" Ikuto pointed over to the opposite side of the street. "Look. A girl who looks like Amu." Ikuto had been on his way to school when he had noticed that girl. She did look awfully like Amu. She had long pink hair, dark brown eyes, and was a smidge taller than Amu. She was looking around with a frightened exspression. Out of nowhere, the girl popped up in front of Ikuto.

"Exscuse me," she said in a small sweet voice. "I didn't mean to interrupt you, but I was looking for Seiyo Elemantary School. You wouldn't happen to know where it is, um..."

    "Ikuto."

"Ikuto. Thank you." The girl flashed a happy smile at Ikuto. Suddenly, a loud girlish voice rang out. "Come onnnnnnnnnnn, Amuri! He don't know where school is! Lets go back to America!" The girl frowned. "Be quiet, Tsuki." A shugo chara came between the middle of Ikuto and the girl. The shugo chara was clad in a sparkly tight fitting tube top and flashy silver miniskirt. It had long red hair that was neatly tied into to two pigtails.

"No!" the chara screamed. "Tsuki wants to go home now! Don't wanna stay in smelly old Japan! With the weird people!" when it had said this, the chara cast a sharp glance at Ikuto, who was feeling a bit confused. The girl snatched her chara from the air and threw her back into its egg, which was patterened by the sun.

"I'm sorry!" the girl cried to Ikuto. "Tsuki only acts like that when she doesn't get her way! I didn't mean to waste your time, Ikuto! You must be busy!" the girl added, looking at Ikuto's backpack and violin. Ikuto sighed. "Its alright," he muttered sourly, rolling his eyes. "I was gonna skip today, anyway." "Oh but your education!" the girl cried in suprise. Ikuto waved an impatient hand.

"Who cares?" At this, the girl frowned but said nothing.

"Do you still want directions?" Ikuto asked sharply. The girl nodded. As soon as Ikuto started to give directions, the girls chara started screaming again. "No! No stupid directions from boy! Amuri smart and figure own way!" Ikuto spoke quickly over the screaming and the girl noddded to prove she had heard him. "Okay! Thank you!" she called back to him, running down the sidewalk. "And by the way, my name's Amuri Hinamori!"

    Chapter 2

Amu hummed a little song as she straightened up her room. "You seem happy today, Amu chan," Ran commented, landing on Amu's bed. "I am," Amu replied, looking back at her chara. "Because my aunt will be leaving in a few days, now that she's finally bought her own apartment. And that means.."

"No more Amuri!" they all cheered.

"Hey," said a voice. "Is it just a coincedence, or are you talking about a girl with the last name Hinamori?" Amu didn't even have to look over at her window. "Lemme guess who it is," she sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Ikuto." Ran, Miki, & Su all nodded. This time, Amu turned around. Sure enough, Ikuto was there, sitting on her window sill.

"Great," she muttered. "What do you want, Ikuto?"

"What?" Ikuto asked, sliding off the window sill into Amu's room. "I can't come visit you?"

    "No."

"Well, I just so happened to be passing your by your house when I heard loud cheering and "Amuri". So I came to check it out."

"More like being perverted and stalking me," Amu muttered.

"Actually," Ikuto started to say, but was cut off when the door opened. "Ikuto!" Amuri cried happily, and dashed over to give Ikuto a hug. "Please get off of me," Ikuto said, turning his head, but it was already too late; Amu had seen him turn bright tomato red.

"Amuri!" Amu shouted. "Get off of Ikuto!" Amuri made her eyes grow large and watery. "But... why can't I hug him?" she said in her best sad voice, which sounded like a cow mooing to Amu. "He helped me get to school this morning. Therefore, he's my friend."

"All I did was give you directions!" Ikuto said loudly. "What is so special about that, that I've become your friend!?"

"You've helped me," Amuri said in a small voice. "Anyone who helps me, becomes my friend."

"No! You will not become his friend!" Amu shouted, much louder this time. "Um," Ikuto said quietly, untangeling himself from Amuri's hug. "I gotta go." And as quickly as he came, Ikuto was gone. Amuri watched the window for a long time.

"What was that?!" Amu said loudly. Amuri turned halfway to look at Amu. "Really, you are an idiot," she laughed mockingly. "You didn't seriously think I'd come to Japan without using my flirty charm, did you? I mean, use your eyes-" she waved towards the window- "Japan is full of hot and sexy boys. Really, I'm starting to like this country, even though it is a dirty dish rag."

"Don't talk about Japan that way!" Ran snapped. "It's a beautiful country, filled with-" Miki started to say, but was cut off by Amuri's chara, Tsuki. "What dumb girl say? Girl not as smart as Amuri, who knows lot more about rag country than dumb girl!" Su frowned. "Hey! You can't just go about insulting people! And Miki is a wonderful artist," she added. Tsuki snorted.

"Tsuki," Amuri said, "go back to your egg for now. That low breed chara isn't worth it." Tsuki opened her mouth in protest, then shut it and did as her master commanded. "You have no right to insult my chara that way," Amu growled. Amuri ignored her.

"Ah, and that boy? Oh, what's-his-name- Ikuto! Yes, Ikuto is like puddy in my hands; I can twist him, turn him, even ball him up if I like. He even melts! That's the best kind of boys!"

"You make him sound like a brand of cereal," Amu muttered. "It doesn't matter; I'm going to use Ikuto like a tissue: blow my nose into him and throw 'im away," Amuri said devilishly. "I'm going to look for him," Amu said, strolling towards the bedroom door. "It won't help!" Amuri called as Amu shut the door.

    Chapter 3

Yoru slapped Ikuto across the face. "Hey!" Ikuto said, rubbing his cheek."What was that for?!" Yoru shook his hand back and forth. "For falling in love with two girls at the same time. We both know from Yurara no Tsuki* that falling in love with two people at a time can be deadly." Ikuto scowled.

"What makes you think I love Amuri?" Yoru laughed.

"What doesn't? You blushed tomato red when she hugged you! Tomato red! The color of love! Or evil, it doesn't matter which."

"And if I do love both of them? So what?"

"It might cause a riff between you and Amu! And we both know you love her."

"I do not. She hangs out with that kiddy king. How can I love her? She's an enemy."

"Then why do you visit her? And help her?" Ikuto didn't reply, but looked away. "Mmhm. As I thought," Yoru said, nodding proudly, "you're in love with-" "Who's Ikuto in love with?"said a voice. Ikuto & Yoru both looked down from the tree branches they were sitting on.

"Uh, o-oh. I-it's you, A-A-Amu," Ikuto stuttered, his face turning a very light pink. "Y- you didn't hear anything we just said, d-did you?" Amu cocked her head in confusion. "What?"

"Nothing!" Yoru said quickly, throwing a look in Ikuto's direction. "Unless, Ikuto would like to tell you something." Ikuto's eyes unintentionally grew wide. "Nah," Amu laughed. "Ikuto probably doesn't want me to know." Ikuto's eyes returned to thier normal size. "What did you want, anyway?" he asked cooly.

"I want to tell you about Amuri."

    Chapter 4

As soon as Amu was seated next to Ikuto, she sighed and traced an invisible design into her skirt. "I think," she said, "I'll tell you about Amuri first."

    Flashback: 5 years

"Amu!Lets go play!" Amuri shrieked happily, dancing on her tiptoes. "Whaddya wanna play?" asked Amu. "I wanna go to the park and pretend to be animals!" she replied. "okay!" Amu said, grinning. "But we have to ask my Mommy first."

    **********************************

After Amu's and Amuri's moms both agreed, the two cousins walked hand in hand to the park, which was only one block away. "Amuri," Amu hummed as the park swam into view.

    "Yes?"

"You're my favoritest cousin ever! Am I yours?"

"Ummmm... lets go play on the monkey bars!"

    "But you didn't answer my-"

"C'mon! we're losing precious time!" Amuri grabbed Amu's hand (if rather tightly) and pulled her to the monkey bars. "I'll go on first," Amuri said, clapsing her small chubby hands around the first bar. "Since we both know you're afriad of always going first." This hurt Amu very much, so much, it made her angry. So when Amuri reached the fifth bar, Amu called out, "You big meanie!" and started throwing rocks at her cousin. Amuri dodged them all.

"You're so bad at throwing, Amu chan!" Amuri laughed. Suddenly everything went very fast. And the next thing Amu knew, Amuri was lying face down. "A-are you okay, Amuri san?" Amu whispered, carefully approaching Amuri. Then Amuri scrambled up and glared at Amu with tears in her eyes. She had woodchips in her hair and on her clothes.

    "You pushed me!"

    "Nuh-uh! You fell!"

    "Liar!"

    "But I just said-"

"Liar!Liar! Liar!" Amuri screamed and started to walk away from the park. "Oh yeah," she said, turning to look back at Amu. "To answer your question, you are the most ugliest, stupidest, meaniest, most freakish person I have ever met!" Amu gasped. "T-that's not true," she said shakily, looking aroung for someone, someone who might seen what had happened when Amuri fell. But all she saw was a strange looking woman, who was staring at the sky.

"You want proof?" Amuri laughed mockingly. "Go look in a mirror!"

    End of Flashback

"So your cousin is holding a grudge against you?" Yoru asked. "Aww," he added. "That's where we said aw, too," Miki said. "So this Amuri chick is mad st you cuz she thinks you pushed her oof the monkey bars? And 5 years! I can't even hold a grudge that long," Ikuto addmitted. "Oh and what about her chara, Tsuki?"

"Oh. Tsuki?" Amu frowned. "You seriously wanna know about Tsuki?"

    Ikuto shrugged. "Sure."

"Well, Amuri didn't always have one chara. At one time, she had two. One egg was patterened by the sun and the other by the moon. Like how Utau's charas are a devil and an angel? Anyways, Amuri took them to school and showed eveyone ( not very smart if you ask me). Then in Gym, when she ws running, because a boy bumped into her,one of the eggs slipped from her pocket-"

    "The moon patterened one?"

"Precisely. And fell to the floor and well.... splatted. Then they're are a whole bunch of different gory details of what Amuri did to the boy afterwards, but we're not going into that."

"Mm," Ikuto mumbled, leaning back as far as he could. He's trying to look bored, Amu thought to herself. "You want to know what Tsuki does exactly?" she asked him. Ikuto jolted up in excitement; making Yoru jump up to a higher branch. Amu giggled. "So you can act like a child sometimes."

"And if I do? Get on with the story." But as Ikuto said this Amu still sensed a bit of excitement in his voice. "Well, an hour after the first egg broke, the other egg hatched. And do you know what that chara did, Ikuto?"

"No," Ikuto replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "Because you won't tell me!"

"Okay, okay. calm down. God, I was trying to add suspicion. But anyways, Tsuki lets off a type a scent. It changes to each boy she meets. Oh don't look at me that way! I meant that they change to that certain boy's favorite smell. Ikuto, what's your favorite smell?" Amu added. Ikuto bit his knuckles and said something inaudible.

"What?" Amu asked. Ikuto mumbled something and bit his knuckles so hard that Amu saw a trickle of blood go down his hand. "If you must know," Ikuto said quietly after Amu removed his hand from his mouth ("It looked like you were going to swallow it!" wink "my favorite smell is a mixture of smells."

    "And those smells are?"

" Freshly cut grass, chocolate, and your shampoo."

"You smell my hair?!" Amu shrieked, scrunching up her nose. "You pervert!"

Ikuto laughed at her. 'I'm gonna go find your cousin," he said. "I've gotta ask her something." Amu looked at her watch, then looked at ikuto in suprise. Had it really been an hour?

"Hey Ikuto," she told him, "when you find Amuri, breath through your mouth. And if you can't do that, hold your breath." Ikuto shrugged.

    "Okay."

    Chapter 5

"Oh! Ohayo*, Ikuto!" Amuri giggled. "What brings you here?" Ikuto blinked at her. "Um, this is the way I go to school."

"Oh, is it? I hadn't even noticed!"

Suddenly, a very strong smell took over Ikuto and fogged up his brain. "Now Ikuto," came Amuri's voice. "I want you to go to Amu's house and tell her she's so ugly, so horrifingly stupid, that you have decided to date me instead." Ikuto, with a strong dislike, nodded. "Good boy," she said, smiling and patting Ikuto on the head. Everything once again came into view and Ikuto didn't remember a thing that Amuri had just said to him.

    *********************************************************************

"Yoru," Ikuto said, rubbing his head because a horrible headache had taken place. "Do you remember anything that Amuri had said to me this morning?" Yoru, who was seated on Ikuto's shoulder, shook his head. "Nya nya, no. What do mean? I was asleep."

"No you weren't," Ikuto said, frowning. "Don't you remember? You had been talking to me about...... something. Then Amuri just popped up."

    "No, I don't."

"Oh." Ikuto stopped walking for no reason at all. The wind ruffled his hair, but he didn't notice. He was in a daze and everything became cloudy. Suddenly, a very far away voice came to him, as if from a memory. "Ikuto," said the voice. "The plans have changed. I need you to kill Amu." And then everything went black.

    ******************************************

"Ikuto! Ikuto, are you alright? C'mon, Ikuto! Wake up!" Ikuto blinked dazedly, everything coming in and out focus. He was on the ground. Ikuto blinked one more time before he could see everything clearly. Yoru was sitting on his chest, waving his hand in front of Ikuto's face. "Ikuto? Are you okay?" he asked jumped off Ikuto's chest as Ikuto himself sat up,rubbing his temples.

    "Ah, what happened?"

"You passed out. Ikuto, I'm starting to think that Amuri girl is bad news."

"How long was I out?" Ikuto asked, ignoring the last part.

" About..... half an hour ~ desu."

Suddenly, words, words that Ikuto hadn't even thought of saying, poured out of his mouth. "Hey, how 'bout we go see Amu?"

    Chapter 6

"I am so glad to be out of the house!" Amu exclaimed happily, clasping her hands together behind her head. "It is so stuffy there, even after Amuri leaves the room. She has a certain thick, syrupy cheap perfume smell to her that makes you want to gag." Ran, who was floating beside Amu, along with Miki and Su, frowned.

"You haven't had to spend time with Tsuki locked up in a closet. It's just hard to listen to her speak. It's annoying to hear her bad grammar," she said. Amu kicked a small pebble and took a deep breath. "At least we don't have to deal with them for a while."

"Yeah," Miki laughed, "just hope she doesn't pop up at the marketplace." Amu nodded. "You're right on that!" Ran suddenly looked at Amu in a strange way. "Amu," she said, "if Amuri ever, and I mean ever, kissed Ikuto, how would you react?" The first thought that came to Amu's mind was, I'd beat Amuri senseless then go for Ikuto.

But instead she answered, "I wouldn't care. Ikuto's not mine anyway. He can kiss anyone he wants." This time, all of her charas looked at her. "Are you sure?" they said suspiscously. "Ummm," Amu said, looking around for a good distraction. "Oh! Soy Sauce! Aren't we out of that?" Su looked confused for a moment.

"But I just got a new bottle yesterday."

"Well let's get some more! Better safe then sorry, right?"

    **************************************************************

"All done!" Amu giggled, holding out her bag covered arms as proof. "Well that was quick," Miki said, planting her hands on her hips and grinning. "Hey," Su said, poitnting. "Is that Ikuto?" They all looked over at a nearby alleyway that Su was pointing at. And, sure enough, Ikuto was standing there, staring at Amu with a blank exspression.

"Hmmm," Amu said, sniffing. "Let's get going before he comes and starts harassing us." All of her charas nodded in agreement. "Okay then," she said, starting to walk away. But before she could fully turn away, Amu saw her cousin whip out of nowhere, grab Ikuto, and plant her lips on his.

    Chapter 7

Everything had happened too fast. One minute Ikuto had just been standing there, minding his own buisness and watching Amu. Next minute he was locking lips with Amu's cousin. Not how he had imagined his first kiss!

He couldn't move. Couldn't breath. Couldn't think. His eyes shifted shakingly over to Amu. His usually composed (or at least in public) flower had tears streaming down her face, either in suprise or self pity. Ikuto couldn't tell which.

But whatever the reason was, Amu ran away from the marketplace, still sobbing. Once Amu was gone, Amuri stopped kissing him. "Finally!" she exclaimed, taking deep breaths. "She left!" Ikuto, feeling very confused, said, "What are you talking about? And what was that?! Just coming up out of nowhere and kissing me?!"

Amuri brought out her lipstick tube, popped the top and started putting it on her lips in a dainty way. "Well, I changed the plans," she said, very annoyed. "I wanted to see that little crybaby cousin of mine watch as I kissed you. I knew'd it break her heart." Ikuto clenched his fists very angrily. "What plans are you talking about?" he growled. Amuri smiled slyly.

"Why the plans, Ikuto! Don't tell me you forgot the plans!" she said with fake suprise. When Ikuto didn't answer, Amuri clicked the top back onto her lipstick tube and continued. "It was all part of my plan to destroy my cousin's love life, and maybe Amu herself," she said, smiling still. "Wha- what do you mean, destroy Amu herself?" Ikuto whispered, eyes wide with confusion.

"I mean, kill her." The blew and ruffled Amuri's long hair, and at that moment, Ikuto noticed the similarity between Amu and Amuri. He noticed that it wasn't in their looks, but their characters. Amu and Amuri both had outer and inner characters. But there was a difference, too. Amu's real character was kind and sympathetic in some ways. Amuri was cold and vain. Ikuto started to walk away towards Amu's house, to tell her what had happened, but Amuri gripped Ikuto's wrist tightly.

"Where do you think you're going?" she said in a quiet, but angry voice. Ikuto glared at Amuri and snatched his wrist back. "I'm going to find Amu!" he said with a furious look. Amuri grabbed Ikuto's wrist again, except this time in a steely grip that Ikuto couldn't escape.

"No!!" she hissed. "My cousin, is a little kid. Would you rather take that undeveloped twerp, or curvy, soft skinned, long haired me?" Amuri had said the last part so sexy like, Ikuto wanted to melt. But instead he mustered all his strength, and clawed his wrist once again out of Amuri's eagle like grip.

"I belong with Amu," he said very quietly. "And this time, you won't take away what Amu wants most: happiness." The same type feeling that Ikuto had gotten earlier that day, the one that fogged up his brain, washed over him like a wave. "No!" yelled the same voice. "I will not let Amu have any form of happiness! Now go kill her!" But Ikuto didn't move. "Oh? You're not going to command me, are you?" Then an exsplosion of pain erupted into Ikuto's legs. He gasped and fell to the ground.

"How about now?" said the voice smugly. "N-no," Ikuto whispered, still gasping in pain. "I bet your wondering why you feel pain, hmm, Ikuto?" The voice was now directly by his ear. "You see, I use your favorite smells against you. I make them into a deadly type of poison, a type that can kill. But of course, it's all in the person's head but the pain becomes so large that you start to thinks it's real and...... you die. I only use it on bad boys. But I have had two boys paralyzed because of it."

Ikuto grabbed his head, which was filled with pain to the brim. "Yoru," he gasped. No answer. "Yoru, are you there?" There was a sort of stirring noise and something shifted by him. "You! Why boy's chara awake?! Boy's chara go to sleep! Boy's chara can't help master!" It was a different voice this time. But then the other voice said, "Hush Tsuki. Alright, let's make a deal, Yoru." Yoru made a strange hissing noise, the type cats make when they don't want to be picked up. "If you can get Amu down to the park by midnight, I'll probably let Ikuto live. I need to speak to that brat. But if you can't, your master gets killed. Got that? Not one second more, or else he dies. Now go." Yoru must have been let go, because Ikuto didn't hear anymore hissing. Now the pain was almost unbearable. It was almost everywhere in his body. He gasped one more time, then blacked out.

    Chapter 8

Amu had cried. For Ikuto! Either it was in self pity or suprise. She wasn't sure. But all Amu knew was that Amuri was a crazy chick bent on making Amu's life heck. I must really love Ikuto, Amu thought, if I would cry if he kisses someone else. Miki watched as Amu flopped on her bed sadly. "Hey," she said, landing next to Amu, "I don't think Ikuto really wanted to kiss Amuri." Amu sat up sharply and glared at her chara.

"Oh yeah? Then why didn't he pull away?!"

"Amuri caught him off gaurd. You saw that face that Ikuto made."

"No," Amu said in a matter of fact tone. "No I didn't."

"You know Miki, I don't think she didn't see Ikuto's exspression." Ran and Su landed next to Miki.

"Oh," Amu said sharply. "You two too?"

"Amu," Su said softly, "we really did see Ikuto's face change. But then it changed when he saw you crying."

"Liar!!!" Amu shouted; Su flinched. "Hey!" Miki flew up to Amu's face so closely that their noses amost touched (sorry. I have no idea if Shugo Charas have noses. i ignor lots of things.)."We didn't do anything wrong. You may be our owner, but that doesn't give you permission to yell at us. We told you the truth. But you refuse to believe us. So if you're going to act like that, we won't get in your way." Miki looked at Ran and Su. "Let's go, guys," she said. So without another word, they all floated out the window, away from Amu's house.

Amu slammed the window angrily behind them. Who needed them? She was fine on her own! Amu sat back on her bed, fuming. But as her steam cooled, amu reflected on her reactions. They had told her. She hadn't listened. And now she was alone again. Like in the beggining. Amu stood up.

"Oh lord," she whispered in horror, "how could I? My charas are out there. Out in the cold. I have to get them back!" She grabbed her jacket from her bed, dashed from her bedroom, tiptoed past her parents room, and then ran down the stairs three steps at a time. She threw open the front door, only to come face to face with Yoru.

His face was flushed red and he was gasping for breath. "Yoru!" she cried. "What happened? Is something wrong?" Yoru stared at her wide eyed. "I-Ikuto," he gasped. Amu felt fear rise in her. "What about Ikuto?" she asked. Yoru coughed violently and when he removed his hand from his mouth blood was on his hand.

    "Yoru! What happened!?"

"A-Amuri. She's..... captured Ikuto....... poision......gonna.....kill him unless you-" Yoru coughed up more blood at this point "- go to the park by....midnight..." Yoru passed out, but luckly Amu caught him in her hands. "Amuri, huh," Amu said quietly, looking at the now pale Yoru in her hands. She weighed her choices.

Either she could bring him to the park; but he might get hurt. But if she left him at her house, Ami might get to him. In the end, Amu decided to take him. He might be useful. So she closed the door quietly, put Yoru carefully into her pocket and ran down the block. The park wasn't that far away. Just a few blocks. If I had Ran, Amu thought as the park came into view, I could get there faster. Another voice answered this. Oh, but you don't,do you? No,you yelled at them, thus making them leave you. Amu scowled. Shut up! she told the voice. Amu slowed as she reached the park. As she walked cautiously through the grass, past the equipment and benches, she carefully stuck her forefinger and middle into her jacket pocket, making sure that Yoru hadn't fell out. He was still there, sleeping now, if rather shallow and slow.

Suddenly, a shape came into view, sitting up against one of the trees. At first, Amu had no idea who it was, but as she came closer she reconized the person. "Ikuto!" she cried, bounding over to him. The 17 year old boy was tied up against a tree, looking almost as tired as Yoru had looked. There were dark shadows under Ikuto's eyes, his hair drooped a bit, his skin was pale, and his eyes dull when he looked at Amu. He smiled at her, or at least tried to. It was a painful smile.

"Hey Amu," he said quietly, the smile gone from his face. "What's up?" Amu kneeled down to the ground and started to tug the ropes. "No use," Ikuto said.

    "What?"

"No use. She quadruple knotted it. This was a trap."

"What do you mean?" Amu demanded.

"She's trying to kill you. I suggest you move."

    "W-Why?"

"This is why!" said a sharp angry voice. And something struck the back of Amu's head, and she passed out.

    CHAPTER 9
    Ikuto's POV

"You're a cruel girl," Ikuto stated as he watched Amuri drop the rock the she had knocked Amu out with. "Oh shut up!" Amuri snapped, grabbing Amu by the hair. "You're lucky you're still alive!" Ikuto shrugged, but winced when it sent ripples of pain through his body. Amuri looked at him.

"You know, seeing you in pain is starting to get boring. Maybe I should fill a spray bottle with water and spritz you with water when you're bad."

    "Be quiet and gimme Yoru."

Amuri snorted. "As you wish," she said in a mocking tone. She shoved her hand into Amu's jacket pocket and pulled out a pale looking Yoru. She threw him over to Ikuto. "Yoru!" Ikuto cried when he saw his chara gasping and coughing up blood. "What the hell did you do to him?!" Amuri gave Ikuto a self satisfied glance.

    "Poison," she said simply.

    "You and this poison crap!!"

"No." She pulled out a syringe from her pocket. "I mean real poison." Ikuto glared at her. "What the hell is wrong with you, you crazy girl!" Amuri looked smug as she placed Amu over her shoulder. "It's just temporary and plus, He's fine. Besides, I had to make your chara ill so you couldn't do chara change with him and save Amu. Now we couldn't have that happening could we?" Amuri looked at her cousin.

"You're really light, you know that," she said to the unconcious Amu. She glared so icily at Ikuto that flinched. "C'mon, you idiot! We gotta get going before she wakes up!" Ikuto made a unaudible noise that was somewhere between a very loud sob and a very angry growl.

    **************************************************

"Where the heck did you take us?!" Ikuto demanded after Amuri had handed him Amu, who was still knocked out. Amuri pulled on the lock. "The dump," she said. Ikuto looked up and as his eyes adjusted, he saw that she really had tooken them to the dump. It was surrounded by a large fence and locked. Amuri scowled as she pulled harder on the lock.

"Really!" she exclaimed. "What idiot locks up the dump?" Ikuto snorted. "Apparently the mayor," he said obviously. Amuri glared at her chara. "Tsuki!" she said sharply. Tsuki sighed. She looked as bored as Ikuto. "What does Amuri want?" Tsuki asked dully. "Chara change! Now!" Amuri demanded. Tsuki's eyes lit up a tiny bit; obviously her and Amuri didn't do chara change a lot. "Okay!" Tsuki said, her face lit with excitement. "Master's heart, unlock!" And in a flash of bright light, Amuri became-

"Sunlight Dream!" Amuri exclaimed and (sorry if the name is suckish; i have never done a chara change before in my shugo chara stories.) what a sunlight dream she was: her hair had went up into pigtails and she was dressed exactly like her chara. There were even bright sparkles encircling her. "Amazing, huh?" Amuri said.

And though Ikuto was amazed, he wouldn't admit it. "You're so vain," he murmured, blinking so he could get used to the sparkling light. Amuri laughed concietingly. "And you're a bad liar," she said and then faced the fence. She pointed to the lock. "Alright! Sun ray!" And after she said those words, a burst of light came from her, blinding Ikuto. And when he could see again, Amuri was back to normal, wearing her jeans and t-shirt, and the lock had been broken in half.

"Well?" she demanded angrily. "What are you waiting for? We have to get ready!" And without another word, the five (Ikuto, Amuri, Tsuki, Amu and Yoru. Amu and Yoru were both carried into there, but it still counts!) entered the garbage dump. Ikuto hoped that no one could see them, but his hope was (unknown to him) dashed. Because, high up above, floated Su, Ran, and Miki. Ran peered down. Her eyes grew wide.

"Miki, Su! Look! It's Amuri and Ikuto! And and... Amu?!" Miki looked back at Ran. "What?!" she exclaimed, looking down and saw what Ran saw. "But Amu is back at her house, where we left her!" Su shook her head. "Ikuto and Amuri probably made some type of plan to get rid of Amu," she said glumly. Ran gasped. "No! Ikuto loves Amu; he would never try and get rid of her!' Su shook her head again. "We don't know that." Miki glared at both of them. "Well we'll never know if we don't get down there and help Amu!" And then, as quickly and quietly as they could, the three charas floated down to the dump to follow Amuri and see what type of devious plan she had concocted.

    Amu's POV

Amu blinked as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. You're awake...... Amu." Amu looked around, for the voice that was so soft she barely heard it. She looked to her left. She breathed. It was Ikuto. "Ikuto!" she cried. He put his forefinger to Amu's lips. "Shhh," he commanded. "Ikuto," she said quietly, "where are we? Where's Amuri? Yoru! What happened to Yoru?!" Ikuto hushed her again.

"Yoru is fine. Amuri went off somewhere to get something and we're all in a room under the garbage dump."

    "What else what else?"

    Ikuto was silent.

    "WHAT ELSE!"

"Shhh. Um... Amuri's going to kill you, since I wouldn't."

Amu felt all the blood drain from her face. "D-did you try and stop her?" she asked quietly. Ikuto nodded. "Yeah, I did." Amu glared at him. "And?" Ikuto lifted up his arm to present a clasp with a chain that led to the wall. "She chained you up?!" Amu cried, disbelieving. Ikuto nodded again. "So I see our little birdy's awake, huh?" said a voice. Amu looked over to a door. And, of course, there stood Amuri, dressed in a kimono with two syringes in her hand.

"Did Ikuto tell you?" Amuri asked. She glared at Ikuto. "I wanted it to be a suprise," she growled. Ikuto shrugged, wincing. "Too bad," was all he said. Amuri took out a key and locked antoher clasp to Ikuto's wrist. "I'm doing this because I want Ikuto to watch as his beloved dies," she hissed to Amu. And then, Amu noticed that she was strapped up to the wall.

"Amu," said Amuri coolly, walking up to Amu. "Since you're my cousin, I will let you have a choice: Sryinge A gives you a slow painful death and Syringe B.. well, let's keep that a secret." Amu looked past Amuri to Ikuto. He was mouthing something. "What?" she mouthed back. Then she understood. Distraction... She nodded in agreement.

"Amuri stop!" Ikuto shouted. Amuri glared at him. "You're other chara wouldn't be happy!" Amuri laughed mockingly. "My other chara is dead!" she growled. "But even if she's dead, the dead has feelings, right? Even if death is cold, it wouldn't freeze a person's heart!" Amuri and Amu stared at Ikuto, stunned. I never knew... that Ikuto could be emotionable, Amu thought. Suddenly Amuri regained her cool.

"That was pretty deep, Ikuto," she said. "I never knew you could be deep. But have you ever apologized?" Ikuto looked at her in confusion. Amuri clapped her hands three times and suddenly a cage fell from nowhere and connected with wall. The clasps restraining Ikuto let go off him and sank into the wall. "You've been a good boy," Amuri said, turning back around to face Amu.

"What's your choice, Amu? Syringe A or Syringe B?" Amu looked fearfully at her cousin. "N-neither," Amu replied shakily. To her suprise, Amuri sighed. "Alright. I thought that would be your answer. Ikuto," she said, still facing Amu. "What?" Ikuto asked. "If you can say gomen 100 times, I'll let Amu live." And she pulled out something shiny from her kimono. Amu's eyes narrowed at it. Her eyes grew wide. It was a very large knife.

"You're crazy!" Amu screamed. "Get away! Get away from me, Amuri!" Amuri smiled smugly. "Ikuto, start saying gomen in three seconds. Okay, 1,2,3!" Amuri stabbed Amu with a quick swift movement and pain rippled through her."G-gomen," Ikuto whispered. Amuri stopped to look at Ikuto, knife clenched in her hand.

"I can't hear you!" she laughed and started stabbing Amu again. "Gomen!" Ikuto screamed."Gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen! Gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen gomen!" Amuri simply laughed. "Ikuto!" Amu said in pain. "See? Look! I'm not crying! I'm not crying! I'm not crying! I'm being strong for you, Ikuto!" Suddenly the door bursted open and three voices cried in harmony, "Amu!" Ikuto, Amu, even Amuri looked at the door. It was Ran, Miki, and Su.

    Chapter 10
    Ikuto's POV

Ikuto blinked. Everything seemed frozen. Amuri was posed halfway, knife pointing to Amu's stomach. Ikuto started rubbing the metal bars in self pity with his forefinger, but then stopped. It was..... soft? He rubbed the metal again. It was DEFINETLY soft. Too soft, like foil. He frowned. Soft enough... to break through. He slapped his forhead. How could he be so stupid?! Of course! After being down here in this damp, musty room for so long, it had to become soft!

The sound woke Amuri up from her frozen form. She laughed. Again pointing the knife at Amu's stomach, she spoke. "Heh, did you actually think that you three-" she waved towards Miki, Ran & Su. "- could come save Amu? If you did, You're all idiots. Ba~ka," she added. Ran frowned. "You can't do this anymore, Amuri!" she insisted.

Su nodded. She flew up to Amuri's face. "Amuri, stop this foolishness! It makes no sense at-" Amuri smacked Su away with her arm. "Shut up!" she screamed. "Or else..." She pointed the knife at Amu's face. " I kill her," she hissed. "Full force." Miki caught Su before she fell. Ran flew over to Ikuto. "Ikuto!" she whispered. "Do something! You've got a chance! Miki and Su are distracting her!" Ikuto scowled at her. He was was still picking at the foil like bars.

"What do you think I'm doing?! I'm trying to loosen these damned bars! As unsuspisously as I can," he added, casting a sideways glance at Amuri, who was swinging the knife angrily at the two charas swooping around her. "Amuri's crazy, but dense," he murmured, starting to pick at the bars again. Ran planted her hands on her hips.

"I think we've established that, Ikuto," Ran said, rolling her eyes. She looked back at Amuri, Miki, and Su. Miki flew back, barely avoiding the tip of the knife. Ran turned back around. "Here," she said, gripping the soft bars, "I'll help you." Ran started tugging the bars, just softing them to a point were Ikuto could rip through. Ikuto looked at the three. Amuri took a furious swipe at Su, almost knocking her over. He started to work faster, but he just couldn't work fast enough. He glanced at the tired looking Amu.

She looked at him, feeling his eyes on her. "Amu!" he hissed, having the knowledge that Amuri couldn't hear him. Amu cocked her head, listening. "Kick the tray with the syringes on it, then pull yourself free of the straps!" Amu stared him for a long time. He rolled his eyes and gave her a deminstration. He squeezed the metal with his hand, scrunching it up. She nodded, signaling that she understood.

Amu wrenched both of her hands out, falling forward. She grimaced in pain, but then continued too get her left foot free from the metal's seemingly strong tight grasp. She grabbed onto the empty loops that once restrained her hands and with all her force kicked the table to the back wall, startling Amuri. Amu freed her other foot, and fell to the floor, gasping. She stood up, her body wavering for a moment. Amuri smacked back both Miki and Su.

"So," she said, scowling. "It was a trap, eh? No worries, Amu. I'll kill you quickly. I have never like defenseless people." Amu stood her ground, looking grave. Amuri ran towards Amu, knife pointing towards her cousin's heart. At that moment in time, Ikuto was finally able to rip open the bars and he ran towards Amu and Amuri sliding in front of Amu. A shudder of pain ran through his body.

    Amu's POV

Everything happened in slow motion. Amuri running towards her, Ikuto running in front of her, Amuri stabbing Ikuto instead of her. Everything. For a moment, Ikuto stood there, leaning over, clutching the knife handle. Then he fell over to the floor, landing on his side. For a moment, everyone was silent. Then Amuri starting laughing. She stopped momentarily, looking at Ikuto on the floor, blood seeping out.

"O-ore," she whispered excitedly. "Ore hakushi nanpitomo doyatsu irassharu sekininhani toshite mai jigoku!!! Ore shishousha nanibito!!!" She started laughing crazily at this point. Then she looked at Amu. ""Everyone, but you, cousin," she whispered. Amuri grabbed one of the syringes from the ground ( Amu didn't know which one it was.) Amu pressed herself up against the wall. "See Amu?" she hissed, advancing on her. "No one ever comes down here. They'll never find your or Ikuto's bodies down here. As for your charas -" she nodded at Mik, Su and Ran; Miki and Su had been knocked out from the impact of hitting Ran, and Ran had been knocked out the impact of the two other charas hitting her- " I'll burn them."

Amu looked past Amuri, to Ikuto. He was quietly (and painfully) getting up. He was still clutching the knife handle. He didn't bother looking at Amu. Instead, he was looking at Amuri. He was pissed. It was written all over his face. Ikuto carefully slid the knife from his body. He bent down and grabbed the other syringe from the ground. She looked at him fearfully and shook her head. Amuri laughed at her.

Grabbing Amu's wrist ( she had a pretty tight grip for a 13 year old), she turned it over. Amuri took her thumb and pressed it against Amu's skin, looking for the right place. "Ara," she murmured. Amuri put the needle of the syringe near Amu's skin broze froze. "Ack!" she cried. Ikuto had tooken Amuri's arm and pressed it the her back. He took the syringe he held in his hand and pressed the needle in her skin.

    Chapter 11

    Ikuto's POV

Ikuto backed away and dropped the syringe. What.... had he just done?? Suddenly he remebered someone telling him something when he was younger: Ikuto, every action has a consequence. He saw all of his actions.... and their consequences. He had met Amuri, and therefore making a relationship with her. Amuri figured out that Amu loved Ikuto, so she hypnotized him. Amuri kissed him, making Amu cry and run away. Amuri poisoned him and Yoru, which set up a trap for Amu to come to the park.

And since Amu came to the park, Amuri knocked her out and took all of themto the garbage dump. And since Amuri tryed to kill Amu, Ikuto poisoned her. Ikuto saw it all click together. If he hadn't ever met Amuri, all of this wouldn't of ever happened. There was silence until until the syringe clinked to the ground. Then Amuri moved.

Her skin had turned a pale creamy white and her irises became small dots in the middle of her eyes. She took three unsteady steps back from Amu. The syringe she was holding slipped from her snowy white fingers and clattered onto the floor. Amuri whimpered and clamped her hand over her mouth. At first Ikuto thought she was going to throw up, but instead, blood splurted out in all directions. The force of the blood shoved her hand from her mouth and blood kept pouring out nonstop.

It splashed onto the floor, splattering Ikuto, Amu & the walls with red blotches. The blood stopped momentarily, and Amuri was gasping for air. "Y- you idiot," she hissed at Ikuto. "You idiot!! How could of you picked syringe B?! How did I lose?? I've planned this out so carefully many times before!!" Another burst of blood escaped her lips, and she landed on the floor with a thud. Another moment of silence passed. Amu somehow gravitated over to Ikuto.

"Is she.... dead?" Amu whispered fearfully. Ikuto looked at her, suprised. She actually wanted to talk to him even after he did that??? Ikuto pointed. "No. Look, Amu," he said quietly. "She still breathing, even if so very little." Amu winced and placed her hand on the spot where Amuri had stabbed her. Ikuto had almost forgotten that Amuri had stabbed either of them at all. I probably forgot because of the shock, he thought, grimacing. The pain was returning.....

"What.... should we do, Ikuto?" she asked. Ikuto grabbed his cellphone from his pocket ( I had that the whole time?! he thought angrily.) and starting punching in 9-1-1.

    1 month later.......

    Amu's POV

"Gomen!!" Amuri said nervously for the thousandth time. She bowed to Amu and Ikuto. "It's okay, Amuri!" Amu assured her. "Ikuto and I forgive you. Right, Ikuto?" Amu nudged her boyfriend in the ribs. He looked at Amuri, "I don't know," he said simply. "Maybe when you come around again. If you're normal." Amu glared at Ikuto.

"Amuri!" called Amu's aunt."C'mere and please help me with this box!" Amuri looked back. "Okay, Mama! Here I come!" she called. "Be right back~, she whispered to Ikuto and Amu, and then ran off to help her mother. Amu faced Ikuto, still glaring. "What?" he asked blankly. "Oh come on!" she said. "Can't you forgive Amuri?? It's been over a month! Are you a grudge holder?!" Ikuto cupped her face in his hands tilted her face upwards towards his. "I can't forgive your cousin.... until you're in proper working order," he said softly. He nodded towards her yeah. She hadn't been able to eat anything solid since Amuri damaged ( Amu didn't like to say "stabbed" wink her stomach.

"Well, that problem is out of our hands, Ikuto."

"No it isn't; I say revenge."

"Ikuto! We shouldn't take revenge Amuri! That's cruel and horrible."

"And what she did to us (I mean Yoru, Ran, Miki, Su, you, and me) was sadistic and pyshcopathic."

    "Oh Ikuto....."

Amu shook her head. When would he ever learn? "Amu," Amuri said, coming back to them. "Can I talk to you?" She narrowed her eyes at Ikuto. "Alone," she added. Ikuto sighed but said nothing to Amuri. He leaned down, kissed Amu, and left unwillingly. Amu smiled at her cousin. "So what's up?" she asked. Amuri crossed her arms over her chest. "Cut the talk," she said, "I wanna tell you before I leave, that Ikuto will be mine." Amu laughed.

"What are you laughing about?" Amuri demanded. Amu kept laughing. "Shatto sono jigoku appu!" Amuri barked. Amu immediatly stopped laughing. "W-what? You're serious?" Amu stuttered. "Hai," Amuri answered. "B- bu-" Amu couldn't get the words out. "Puchi itoko," her cousin whispered into her ear. "Just because we're nice to each other now, doesn't mean I still don't forgive you for pushing me from the monkey bars when we were kids."

    "B-but I didn't-"

Amuri held up her hand. "Don't deny the truth, small cousin," she said. "We all know the truth." She smiled and patted Amu's head. "So enjoy your time with Ikuto, Amu. Or while it lasts, anyway." A horn beeped. "Coming Mama!!!" Amuri shouted. "Goodbye, cousin. I can't wait to meet again." And so, without another word, Amuri ran past Ikuto-who gave her a killing glare- to her mother's car. Ikuto came up to Amu, who was watching as Amu's aunt's blue car sped down the road.

"What were you guys talking about?" Ikuto said, noticing Amu's disbelieving gaze. Amu looked up at him. "Nothing!" she laughed, hoping the nervousness wasn't too evident in her voice. "Or at least nothing we have to worry about now!"

    That night.....

    Amuri's POV

It was late night. My mother had stopped near the edge of the road by a gas station for the night. I waited patiently for her to fall asleep. I stayed up for two hours. When I heard her snores, I went into action. I took the long, thick length of rope from my backpack and a pack of matches. I tapped Tsuki's egg. "Get up, you usless thing," I hissed. Tsuki peeked out sleepily. She rubbed her eyes and looked at me.

"What Amuri want?" she grumbled. "Tsuki was sleeping." I glared at her. "We're leaving, idiot," I said. Tsuki nodded, suddenly excited. "Hold this end of the rope," I ordered her. "Or else no food tomorrow." I looked at either side of the road, making sure no one was coming. Then in 1 minute I had reached the gas station across the road, set the rope down, and dumped gasoline eveywhere.

I jogged back to the car and grabbed a pair of sandels from my pack to replace my gasoline covered tennis shoes. I threw the tennis shoes into the gas station. i slung the backpack over my shoulder and backed away, making sure I was at a good distance. Tsuki followed. "Does Amuri have Tsuki's egg?" she demanded. I glared at her again. "Yes," I growled. "I do."

Deciding that the distance was good enough, I dug my hand into my pocket and pulled the matches. I scratched it on the cardboard till the fire flickered to life. The flame was a nice sight in the inky darkness of midnight. And using all my strength, I threw the match towards the gas station. It didn't even have to land. The gas staion bursted into flames, including the rope leading away from it.

The car bursted into flames too, and my mother's screams of agonizing pain rang into the night. I sat on the side of the road and laughed at the sound of my mother's screams. Soon, they died out, and the flames raged into the night. My laughs also died away. "I'm coming, Amu," I said aloud. "I'll be back soon enough. I am not letting you have Ikuto."

    The End

That's it, to tell you the truth. But there'll be a sequel.
