• Thats when he stopped. I could feel his arms stiffen around me and could hear his heart spped up, entering a frantic state. I pulled back and looked upon him. I slowly followed his gaze.

There stood a man, leaning on the rails and overlooking the dance floor, looking for something or someone. He was tall and skinny. His hair, a platinum blonde, almost to the point of being white, had been spiked with some sort of gel. He was as pale as could be and his eyes matched perfect, jade shade of Malachi's eyes. His right ear was pierced from top to bottom along with his left eyebrow.

"We have to get out of here, now!" Malachi's urgent voice whispered in my ear.

He didnt even give me time to respond. He grabbed my hand and led me through the dancing crowd, avoiding the swaying hips and moving feet. We had just reached the back entrance when it hit me.

"Wait, what about Tilly and Justyn?!" I asked, but he didnt stop. He didnt even slow down. He flung open the back door and pulled me into the cold, night air. We rounded the building and stoped at a corner near the front entrance.

"Stay here... I'm going to go get my car keys..." and with that he was gone. I popped my head around the corner, my gze followed the long line to the front, where Malachi was standing. The man handed him his keys. Within seconds I was inside Malachi's car, the heater on full blast and the seat warmer as high as it would go.

I was absolutly furious. what had all that been about anyway?! Why wouldnt he let me warn Tilly that we were leaving? What was his problem?

Silence filled the car as he drove down the street. His fleeting looks behind him were growing annoying. The anger that anger that i had worked so hard to keep anchored was now boiling to the surface.

"What...the..hell?!" I yelled. "Would you care to explain why you just dragged me through the freezing cold, away from my friends, and a perfect night?!" I was shaking.

"Look, it's difficult to explain. We just had to get out of there." His voice remained perfect. Always calm, collect and smooth... figures.

I let a low growl escape my lips. His eyes met mine, and like usual, it stole my breath away. But i kept up my intent stare... he was hiding someting from me. Something huge. His attention was back on the road but he wasnt paying attention to the cars. An almost foggy coat coered his eyes... he was staring out, deep in thaught.

"Your not llike most girl Kels..." He said, giving me a nickname. No one had ever given me a nickname before.

This sounded like a pick up line. "Your not trying to hit on me are you?!" i asked. My voice held the perfect amount of disgust and pleasure.

"what? no no no!" A deep pink tinted his cheeks. " Thats not what i ment." he stuttered. He sighed and waited a few moments, gaining controll of himselfonce more. "Have you ever noticed your eyes? How thier different from everyone else's? How no matter how hard you try, or how many faces you search, you cant find a single pair like your own?"

I looked at him, raising my eyes... "Yeah, i guess you could say my eyes are kind of funky" I shruged "But what does that have to do with anything?"

He ignored my question and moved on with his. "Do you ever feel wierd, or out of place? Like you dont belong? Even when your in your own home?"

Howd he know that? I Thaight to myself. I looked down at my hands and started to twiddle my thumbs. "Yes, all the time." My voice was barely a whisper.

"Thats beacuse you dont. You dont fit in and you dont belong here. Your not normal. Your different from them." His voice had a softness to it, but in my ears his words were hars. They stung. I had always fely like i didnt belong and he had just confirmed it. He continued. "Your not even human..." his voice trailed off.

Ilooked over at him, my face holding a surprised expression "Are you crazy? I swear to god your crazy..."

"No... im not. Your just like me... Your a Dark Fairy... Your our Princess and right now, we need you."
