• It was so cold outside. Amora only stepped out for a moment before jumping back inside to sit by the roaring fire. The New Years Eve party was supposed to be in an hour, but seeing as her house was pretty much inaccessible due to the snow no one would end up coming, she was sure. She grabbed a romance novel and cracked the spine of it. It slowly got dark, so she lit a candle and a blanket and dragged her chair closer to the fireplace. She glanced out the window at one point to see the marvelous white ibis. About an hour later she heard a knock on the door. Who can that be? she thought to herself. Slowly rising, she walked over to the door and opened it. "Hey Amora, Happy New Years Eve". It was that guy who had the cubicle next to hers.....what was his name. "Happy New Years to you too...Will." THAT WAS HIS NAME! Will. She invited him in and turned on the television. She offered him some water or soda and made herself a cup of hot coco. She never really talked to will that much, even though they were in the same division of work. She figured now was the best time to try to get to know him. They talked for a while, as they watched the countdown till the new year. She began to smile at all of the cheesy jokes Will was saying. He scooted over, closer to her, on the couch. He yawned and placed his arm around her shivering shoulders. Amora cuddled closer to Will and drifted into a daydream. The countdown began! 10, 9 she realized the snow had raised even further since she opened the door for Will 7,6 they were snowed in 4,3 only her and Will for God knows how long 2,1 Will kissed Amora like she had never been kissed before. He held her closely as the new year began. She was happy that her last memory of the year was kissing Will and the first memory of this year was the same. She snuggled into him as the snow began to stop. This is nice.
