• Chapter 2: Discover

"Gabriel, Please! Calm down! You can't stress yourself at this time now. You are still to weak!" The woman who I was trying to push myself away from had grabbed my arms and held me tight against the soft cushions of the couch. I twisted and squirmed. Why won't she let me go? Leave me alone!
"Stop! Let go of me! Where-" She was right... I'm still so tired. Please just leave me alone, I'm so scared!! I want to go back and be asleep again. I want to be back in my tank. I don't want to be here in this new world, full of light. "-Where I am! I don't know you! Stop!"
She's holding me too tight. M-My hand's are going limp. ...I don't want to fight anymore. I just want to sleep again. "Please...." There's something falling down my cheek. It's wet... I'm crying? Am I sad? I give up...
"Gabriel..." Her hands became soft again, now she's wiping my tears away. "I understand you're confused. You don't like it here at all, do you?" I don't like it here at all.... I am confused. "But I will explain it in time. Now please, open your eyes again. Not so fast now! Slowly ease yourself..."
"..." I opened my eyes slowly as she said. The light around me blinded me, and I flinched. But only for a moment, now it's becoming clear. I see I'm in a room, there's a large screen with blinds pulled to the side. It's so open out beind that screen... I see trees and birds, buildings and clouds. What are these things again? I really don't understand. How can clouds float? Maybe they are like, really light or fluffy. Like a feather? I want to sleep in one.
The woman beside me... she's beautiful. She has stunning red hair that waves behind her shoulders and down her back. Her eyes are so serious though, dark and green. They're hidden behind wide specticals.
She smiled. "Thank you, Gabe. You probably want to know who I am. I'm Christian Valdan. I-" She gasped in some air. She looks so stressed. Her hand fell on my head and she moved the hair from my eyes. "I created you. Inside a lab for the government. You were an experiment that they ordered me to do... You were born from an 'Alien Gene' that we found fifteen years ago in the Sahara Desert. There are many like you... but you were MY experiment. They wanted-" She pressed her hand fermly on my ears, and I realised, my ears didn't feel like the way they should. I moved her hand and put it on the rim of my ear and realised that my ear was long, and furry, like a dog's ear. It twitched as I tried to itch behind it, which felt plesently good. "...They... They wanted to create the perfect soldier, but there were complications. Some of your genes were destroyed and you would have died, so we implanted some my dog's genes after I volenteered. You ended up with these ears." Christian rubbed her thumb behind my ear and I smiled a little. It felt so nice...
"But even after sucessfully keeping you alive, the alien genes suddenly stopped at a certain point in showing their effects in your body. These genes were to make it so that you could grow multiple limbs anywhere on your body and retract them as if you never had them. Like a lizard's tail. Apperantly, the gene mutated your actual arms and they have become eregularly long." I looked at my arms, to see if this was true. My arms... she was correct. when I stretched my arms down the length my body, my palm could touch just past my knee. I gasped and pulled my arm close to my chest, scared of what I saw... I looked at her. What was wrong with me? I look nothing like her, she is perfect and she is porportionate.
"But don't worry! You'll be okay. Your arms will always be this long in scale to your body, but there is nothing wrong with you..." Christian held my hand and tried to smile. She's breathing oddly. She's scared. "Let's get you dressed..."
