• Dear Mr.Philip,

I am disappointed to note the change in the textbook used for your class. I was relying upon those People and a Nation outlines. What will I do now? I fear I will fail my essay test tomorrow morning, particularly as I have now stayed up far too late. The worst of it is that I am not even studying, but procrastinating. How tired I am is evident simply in my deteriorating gramatical capabilities.

Of course, it isn't really your fault. I should have done the readings. It's just very hard to do college applications on top of school work. And I don't know why, but recently I've had difficulty doing my work. Not with the work itself, of course. Just with its incitment. That's not the correct word. I'm so tired. I really don't like my high school, Mr. Philip. It really doesn't help when you remove a valuable education tool from the internet. I dislike school far too much to be motivated to actually do the work. It is so easy to waste time that I can hardly conceive of using it constructively. And now I'm going to fail.

Maybe I should just go to sleep. At least I'll have better BS-ing skillz if I am sort of rested. I think I'll do that (shortly), but if you could do me the favor of sending me the outline to chapter 21 - the Progressive Era- of A People and a Nation, sixth edition, I would be very much gratified.

Good health to yourself and your students.
