    The Note

MEET ME AT THE CAFETERIA AT 2:00 P.M

DON’T BE LATE AND COME OR ELSE…

    FROM -

I scratched my forehead. What did this person mean by be there or else? Moreover, I didn’t know who it was from. Vivian looked at the paper.

    “Don’t go Ann! Don’t!”

“Huh?” I searched her face, it was full of worry.

“Please don’t! What if it’s some kind of weird creep?” Vivian said and frowned.

Well she does have a slight point, if it was Drake then he would write his name but this was anonymous. “Vivian, I probably won’t go anyway so don’t worry” I said and walked away, I could still see the worry in her eyes from afar.

She knew I would go, she knew that her words couldn’t stop me. If it is some creep, I would like to face them. But that was something that I’m least expecting.

I pulled out the note from my bag again, studying it carefully, word to word. It was surprising how each word scared me. I felt as if I wasn’t making the right choice in going and that whatever this guy wanted he needed it desperately. I sighed and leaned against a locker. Could things get any worse? Drake walked passed me.

    He seemed tense.

I could still remember what happened vividly. Drake kissed me a week ago and ever since I tried to avoid him. I had a slight feeling that I actually had a crush on him.

I never thought that I would ever like someone. Because before I came to the academy, everyone treated my badly and I despised all of them so there was no such thing as romance over there. Drake Maxwell, the guy who kissed me and I liked it and he didn’t give me an explanation. I wanted to ask him but the words just didn’t come out from my mouth.

Ever since I came into the academy, I imagined that this was another world and that everything that was happening was just sadly a dream that was too good to be true.

Classes were alright, even if I couldn’t concentrate. Luckily, it was the last period. The bell rang and everyone stormed out of class. I got up slowly and went out of the classroom. Riku walked up to me.

    “Hey”

    “Hey” I muttered.

    “You seem gloomy and umm…down?”

“Oh really? I’m sorry” I mumbled.

“This isn’t about Drake right?” he said.

    “Uhh…No”

    “What happened?”

I stopped walking and turned to face him. Even Vivian didn’t know that Drake kissed me for I felt that I didn’t want to drag her into this mess. But Riku didn’t know about the note so I guess I could tell him about that right?

    “Nothing…I just well…” I stuttered.

He looked at me, a puzzled look on his face. “Uhh well, I’ll see you later” I said and walked off.

I changed my mind. I didn’t think it was necessary for Riku to know about this. Just the thought of making someone worry about me made me shiver.

I went up to my dorm and fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.

I jolted awake, I turned to my watch, and it was 1:49 P.M.

I brushed my hair and changed my clothes; I almost had to go to meet whoever wanted to meet me. I turned to my watch again. It was 1:53 P.M.

    I waited patiently.

    One Minute…

    Three Minutes…

    One minute…

I stopped counting. It was 1:58 P.M. I walked out of the door and headed off to the cafeteria. I walked into the cafeteria, it was silent. No one was in there. I looked around carefully. I turned to my watch. It was 2:05 P.M. whoever that person was he was late. I sighed; maybe this was just a silly prank.

I turned and ducked. I saw a small black shadow ball hit the wall. The concrete wall cracked. I turned and saw a figure there. It was a boy, a bit older than me probably. Blonde hair, brown eyes with a cigarette in his mouth. I figured that he had dark powers. A shadow ball He stepped forward and raised his right arm and pointed to my necklace.

“You better give me that necklace, or else”
