• Chapter 1

I slam the door in that bitches face, she calls herself my mother, not even! Quickly twisting the lock I headed to my bed covering my ears with one of the pillows thrown across my bed trying to block out the screaming of another one of my dads’ “discussions”. I try to think of how life was before my mom died and my dad started going out with that whore! They fight all of the time, and she even breaks up with him more than once a month. It makes me sick to call him my father, he doesn’t even realize that he’s living with my little sister Jane and I. He doesn’t even take responsibility for her. I wish I could wake up from this nightmare but I can’t… this is reality! Taking into notice that my dad and that woman were still arguing, I remove the pillow from my head and once again place it upon my bed. I sneak downstairs into the kitchen and quickly make macaroni and cheese for my little sister, when the final turn on the microwave ends i remove a spoon from the drawer and stick it in with the cheesy substance.

"Janie" I called through the door.
"Janie, I brought you some food". I call out again.
She opened her bedroom door quietly. "Are you going out again?" Her voice shook.
I looked into her sadden eyes and felt disparity. "Yes Janie, I'm sorry but i have to work. I'll come home before midnight." I said as i handed my six year old baby sister her macaroni and cheese.

I ran back upstairs into my room and I slipped on my sneakers that lay on my window sill. I grabed my coat from my chair and push my bedroom window open, sneaking out into the cold moist air!

I step onto the mushy surface of “after rain” grass. Each step gets me closer to my dads’ new car. As my final step lures me in front of the Silver Mercedes, I pull the handle unfastening the hold lifting each foot into the car. I reach for the keys behind the visor, shoving them into the slot. The engine comes alive as I turn the keys. I start the vehicle and look over my shoulder for any cars behind me, I swiftly pull the Mercedes out of the driveway and into the road.
