    Three Weeks Later....

    Chapter One

    The Demon…

I walked into the gates of Blood Rose Academy. There weren't many people around there. That puzzled me but then I figured. There isn’t many gifted people around, is there? I thought and sighed. There was a small cherry blossom garden at the school nearby the entrance. A few drops of water hit my head then I realized it was drizzling then soon after it was raining. In the rain, at the cherry blossom field, on the bench sat a boy. Not a lot older than I was probably. Everyone rushed into the school except him and I stood there like some stupid idiot staring at him. Then I walked up to him "You'll get wet if you stay out here" I said and smiled slightly. To my surprise, he said

    "Why do you care?"

He walked off with a huge scowl on his face. What's his problem? Don’t ask me, but read on if you want to find out. I rushed into the school, I was wet all over. I headed towards the office to get my dorm keys. There was an elderly lady with glasses there.

    "Yes?" she said kindly.

"I’m Anna Rivers, the Half Demon" I said and frowned. I didn’t like mentioning I was a demon. But yeah, I’m not a full demon so there's no inner demon inside of me. But mainly, my power is ice. That’s right, ice. I’m the Icy Little Princess in this story and I will freeze you to death if you make me mad. The lazy handed me my keys and schedule. By accident, I ran into a girl. She was fairly pretty, blue eyes and golden hair and what surprised me was she had two cute little ears at the left and right sides of her head.

"I’m...I-m Sorry” I stammered. "No, I’m sorry! I should have looked at where I was going!" she said and frowned at me. She really did feel bad. "I’m Anna Rivers, the Half Demon" I said, my eyes narrowed. "I’m Vivian Smith, the Full Nek" she said and giggled. "Hobby the way Anna, Do you know where is the dorms?" said Vivian looking very puzzled. "Why don’t you ask the lazy that gives you the dorm keys and schedules" I suggested and then shrugged.

"No way, that’s just too embarrassing. So, do you know where is the dorms?" said Vivian. "No, I’m afraid not" I said and sighed. "Let’s look for them together then" said Vivian and smiled at me. "My dorm is dorm 3...what about yours?" said Vivian. "Its number 4" I said. I didn’t like the number four, believe me I’m not superstitious or anything but they did say number four was a bad luck number. "Wow, what a coincidence!" she exclaimed and said "I think the dorms from 1 to 20 are in the block A" said Vivian. "I think I know where that is" I said. I forgot to mention, the Blood Rose Academy is a very huge school that has a barrier to protect it. All students are not allowed to go outside the school during the schooling months. The school consists six blocks. A, B, C, D, E and F.A and B are for the demons and Neko's. C and D are for the witches and angel's E is for the fairy's and elf’s and last but not least is Block F which are for others.

I followed behind Vivian in silence. The silence was ridiculous, so I had to say something.

"So, umm...Vivian, what kind of powers do you have?" I said, clutching on to my suitcase.

"Huh? I can produce fire" she said. "You?"

"My power is ice" I said and asked her another question "So umm...where are you from?"

"Me? I’m from South Dakota, America" she said. "My damned parents sent me here right after I showed them the letter. You see Anna, this is a boarding school and we're both in the 10th Grade, right?" said Vivian.

    "Yeah..."

"So for two whole years, including this year I wont be at home and then I would have to go to college and get a degree and not long after that, I would be working and supporting my own life so I was basically just thrown out of the house because of my special abilities" said Vivian, her face still as if she was a stone. "I was devastated but if they didn’t want me then I guess that’s that" said Vivian and sighed.

"I never knew" I said, feeling pity. "Hun, most of the people in this school has a very similar sob story" said Vivian. After all that talk, we reached Block A. "Here's my dorm" I said. "And I guess here's mine" she said and smiled. I unlocked the door and dumped my bags there, and went out. No time to pack now. I wanted to go see my Aunt Lauren, I heard she was one of the teachers in this school.

To head to the office which was on the ground floor, we had to pass the library and the school clinic before we can even reach the stairs. Which apparently, really annoyed me because I really hate strolling? I made my way to the clinic after I had enough of sitting and blaming the school about having so many stairs in the school but then again…Life isn’t always fair was it? At least in my story it wasn’t. The moment I walked passed the clinic, I heard screaming. I stopped and turned to the door, thinking that my mind was probably just playing games with me for a moment. But then I heard screaming again and I was sure that this time, I was hearing right.

I took a deep breath and pushed the door open, the creaking sound of the door, made me shiver.

I saw so many nurses, either dead or badly injured. But surprisingly, I couldn’t scream. But instead I choked and horror filled my face when I saw the beast. Either I was dreaming or having hallucinations but one thing was for sure, I had to get out of the clinic before I end up dead as well.

As much as I would love to escape and get out of this terrifying nightmare, I just couldn’t because my legs just wouldn’t let me. I was frozen in shock as I watched the beast kill off all the nurses in its way like nothing could stop him. But then I realized that I knew it. The monster just happens to be someone I have met before and that monster was the boy I saw earlier. He turned to me, glaring at me. He wore the same as earlier only he had claws and his eyes which were dazzling blue were burning red.

He kicked the nurse’s body which was in his way and made his way towards me. His eyes were only on me, the reddish eye’s had its target on me. The demon had its target on me and for a moment I thought that death was near. Even though, I had powers, my body didn’t seem to move an inch but then I realized something. Maybe if I were to die than this horrible nightmare I’m living through will fade. I would rather rot in hell than live in my condition. Being called a ' monster ‘, having no parents and people who despise me more than anything even if I meant no harm to them. My childhood days were horrible and just are not really imaginable. He threw a metal chair at me, letting it scratch my face.

And to my surprise, he fainted. I watched in horror as the boy collapsed in front of me. Only ten inches away from me. Only ten inches away from death and only ten inches away from all of my horror.

I walked closer to him, my eyes on whether he would wake up and kill me or not. I sat down beside him and healed him. It was something most people could do in the academy I thought because I could heal from young. Vivian then rushed into the room. She was shocked but relieved at the same moment. Then she shouted at me

    “Anna! Your arm is bleeding!”
