• The bright orange sun rose from the horizon and shone through the small glass window on the boy in the Slythein dungeon. He rose and yawned deeply as he rubbed his droopy eyes. Beside him was a old stone wall with a Hogwarts calender hanging off of it. Below the picture of the castle like school was the days of February. The days that had past where crossed off. He wondered if he had potion classes with Gryffindor today. In shock he jumped out his dark green pajamas and into his black school robes. It was Valentines day.
Once dressed he hurried to the perfect bathroom with a cauldron in hand, a book under his arm and some ingredients shoved in a bag. He glance at his wrist watch, only one hour till breakfast, he thought to himself. Approaching the painting covering the room, he quickly said the password and entered.
He set up his supplies and started mixing and chanting spells. After his last spell he whispered to himself, "It's ready." It was then packaged in a box covered with a colorful wrapping paper and a baby pink ribbon. Pink....., he thought, the same pink she worn a few days ago. It was a pretty color on her. Lost in dreaming, he woke at the sound of the mermaid splashing the water around her in her painting. His wrist watch said fifteen minutes to breakfast and he ran through the door while pocketing his gift.
Very soon he reached the dungeon and dumped his cauldron, book and left over ingredients. He looked at his gift and wondered, it's pretty, maybe it's too girly, will she like it? That question started to drown his head with worries. Pulling out this he ran to the great hall, his steps echoing behind him.
Looking along the Gryffindor table he didn't see her. Standing in the enterence of the great hall he turned his head to the Gryffindor tower and there she was.
Walking alone, looking beautiful. Her hair swinging side to side, bright green eyes full of curiosity and over all lovey. Looking at her made his worried expression wipe off his face and instead a warm fuzziness.
He started to walk to her and his heart pounded hard against his chest. Breaking into a run, he stopped right in front of her.
"Hello! Happy Valentines Day!" she said in a sweet happy voice.
Not knowing what to say he presented his gift and blushed a bright pink.
Her eyes grow even more as she said, "How pretty! Thank you."
She then unwrapped it gentle with her soft silky hands and uncovered the gift. "It smells great!" she replayed about it as she hugged him.
She toke a small bite of the strawberry cover cupcakes that where still warm.
Not thinking he toke the baby pink ribbon and tied it over the elastic holding up her hair. That pinks looks gorgeous on Lily Evans, thought Severus Snape.
