• "Sye!" Aime called. Her shoes quickly clapped against the pavement of the wet, icy road. She stopped and caught her breath. "Sye!" She called again, cupping her hands over her mouth. Aime looked around, but the only things in sight were the long streaming of tall buildings, white sprinkles decending from the black sky, and what seemed like ever lasting darkness; it was to quiet for the world to end.
There was I gun shot in the distance. She let out a hard shiver, but bravely continued her search. "Sye!" she yelled loudly, endangering her own life to find a meer boy, but he was more to her than that.
There was a crackle, then a building down the street collapsed. She abruptly turned and backed away. She was cold, hungry, and very terrified. I can't belive I'm doing this! she thought to herself. She let out another hard shiver. Then a crazed laugh close by made her body freeze, if that was even possible at this point. Again, the laughter started, closer now. She forcibly moved her legs forward into a sprint, but footsteps seemed to follow her. She pushed harder, trying to out run this sycotic stalker. Her breath became hard and her legs ached. There was a chuckle behind her.
"Leave me alone!" She cried. She looked behind her, but discovered nothing; she didn't stop. She turned her head back forward. There, standing in her path was a dark figure. She didn't have time to stop, and colided into it. She fell onto the snow-covered ground. Still dazed, the figure grabbed her hand.
"No! stay back! please, get way!" She screamed, kicking at the figure. "Somebody help me!" She cried helplessly. The figure covered her mouth. Tears strolled down her frozen cheeks.
"Shh!" the figure hushed, "It's just me. Calm down." Aime looked up at him. Dark hair swept over his gray eyes. Freckles lined over his nose and spread over his cheeks.
She didn't say anything, but launch her arms around him. "Sye, I...." she swallowed back her emotions. "I was so scared!" He pulled her face in front of him and stared at her deep blue eyes. How he missed those eyes. He brushed her aburn hair from her face. "You're so cold," He whispered in disbelief. He brushed his hand over her forhead. She let out a shiver. He traced her lips with his warm finger.
"Does that feel good?" He asked. "Yes," she mumbled lightly. He leaned in then stopped an inch from her lips. His hot breath seemed caressed her whole body. There was a cough behind them. The whipped around to only find a man with death written on his entire body. His eyes wide and crazed. Sye pulled Aime behind him.
"Leave, we have no buissness here," Sye said confidently. The man giggled hestaricly. "Ah, but you have no buissness here, friend. But if you leave that tastey girl with me," He licked his lip and gulped, "I'll spare you."
Sye snarled, "You're a sick person!" The man laughed, barking loudly, "Heh, that's what my daughter said to me, heh, before..." He stopped. His smile faded and his eyes were blank. He held up his arms, covered in dark blood, dripping onto the snow.
Aime's blood curtling scream restored the man's crazed smile. Sye pulled a gun from his pocket and held it to the man's head. "Go away," whispered harshley, gritting his teeth, "Or I'll kill you."
The man smiled, "Whatever you wish, friend. I will go." The man walked away, laughing insanely. Sye lowered his weapon and turned to Aime. "Are you ok?" He asked. She nodded. Without warning, the crazed man ran around the corner with a gun. He laughed, gasping for air as he did.
"Don't!" Aime yelled, but it was too late. The gun shot echoed down the long road. Sye's body fell with a hard thud at Aime's feet. She screamed and the man laughed.
Tears fell from her face. "You..." she whispered, "...you..." She looked at the man. "You monster!" She picked up Sye's gun and fired at the man without hesitation. She scrambled over to Sye. His blood splattered over the snow. She swept his hair from his face. She traced his lips how he did hers. He looked peaceful and his mouth curved into a slight smile. She leaned down and touched her lips to his. "I love you," she said, but when he didn't answer back, she finally realized her love was dead. She screamed to the sky his name, but her pleas wouldn't be answered, because she was alive and he was dead.
"Somebody kill me!" She cried harshly. She realized she had murdered her killer. She looked at her hands. They held the answers. She pointed the gun towards her. She touched it to her head. "I'm not afraid..." She said and she pulled the trigger.
Click was the only thing that came from the gun. She pulled it again, over and over, but the same sound came out. She dropped the gun and let out a hard shiver. Aime stared at Sye's blood stained body.
She lyed next to him for over three days; three days of torcher, three days of shivering, three day of pain, until she breathed her last sigh.
She woke to a light, so bright, it almost blinded her. "Come," A voice said in the distance. "I can't see," Aime said to the voice. It laughed carefree, "Grab my hand then." She did. The light grew brighter, until she realized who it was.
"Where are we?" Aime asked, blocking the light from her eyes.
"I'm not sure, but do you want to come and find out?" Sye asked, walking slowly toward the light. She nodded and they walked away into the light, hand in hand
With one bullets and the remains of a frozen body, their pain was ceased and their love continued on for eternity.

    heart The end. heart
