• “Are you sure?” A dark haired male looked up doubtingly at a young woman clothed in strangely decorated black garments. She was perched precariously atop an invisible beast, who let out a huff of smoke in annoyance for the female.
“There are no other options. He is on the move, and they are plotting of ways to imprison me.” A soft, awkwardly elegant sigh escaped the female as she stroked the beast beneath her, “You will need them, no doubt, once I'm...”
“We won't let them take you! You're far too--”
Snarling, the female whipped her head around, electric blue eyes glowing with an unnatural tint of red. “Too valuable? Too important a weapon in this war to risk losing?”
Looking slightly insulted, the man crossed his arms, “I was going to say 'Far too cared about for us to allow such a mutinous thing to happen', Sabre. Really, I don't think of you as a simple tool. And neither do they.”
White eyes caught the dangerous blue, daring to hold the gaze for longer then a simple second; Minute, even. The gaze stated a million things and more, so soft that the white seemed to gain a faint pink tint to them.
Love seemed to shine through stronger then any other message from the male's gaze, and that was probably what caused Sabre to look away. The invisible beast seemed to let out a heart-felt sigh for the man, who's affections were unreturned.
As silence fell awkwardly between the two, a new voice crackled over hidden speakers in the near-pitch-black room. “We don't have time for you two to start acting all stupid around each other! There's an oncoming advance on the Castle. Emerald and Pearl Drakons, get going!”
The man frowned, looking at Sabre, taking note that she had stiffened in her place on top of the invisible beast. As he spoke another, much smaller, female entered the room at a run. “It's time. Dream, Sabre. Dream fast, and Dream safe.”
Stroking the invisible being beneath her, Sabre laid her head down and let out a small sigh, murmuring as her eyes closed, “I won't be able to keep them out. Be quick. And Drake...”
“We will.” There was no need for her to finish the hesitant sentence. Drake knew what she wanted to say. As he took a firm hold of the new entry's hand, Sabre allowed her mind to drift into sleep.
Slowly, the invisible beast beneath Sabre began to be filled in by soft, pearl-colored clouds, revealing the shape to be that of a dragon. Just as an explosion shook the structure, Drake and the female he was holding onto ran right into the forming picture in the dragon's skin, and vanished without so much as a ripple in the creature's being.
