    A lot of people have been asking me lately why I resigned from my moderator status, so I figured it might be easiest to post a little bit about it here.<br />
    The first reason was for my family. My father is ill and this isn't the best time for me to be spending a ton of time online.<br />
    Secondly, I simply do not agree with where the site is going, and do not wish to support them by being a moderator any longer. I love Gaia, don't get me wrong, but there are many aspects I strongly disagree with. It just isn't the site I joined back in '03 anymore. I could go into details about it, but perhaps just reading some of my posts in the SF will give you some more insight if you are curious.    <br />

    The above was an old statement from 2009 when I stepped down. Things have much improved since then, in my life and on Gaia! I may consider trying my hand at moderating again... <br />
