Unique Facts/ Background story:
Her mother, Brona is a herbalist the healer of her village. Because of how efficient her remedies cure the sick and dying of her town--she is thought to be a witch. Despite the good intentions behind her herbal supplements, Brona is condemned to a life of false convictions--she is thought to harbor the practice of witchcraft and for this the town has banished her and her family to the far end of the town. Brona's husband inherits a large house built by his grandfather hidden away in the middle of a labyrinth.
(Brona's husband died by a heart disease on Ida's sixth birthday)

(Oppressed by her husband's death Ida's mother shows signs of a common mental illness, dementia.)

Ida lives a life of denial, trying hard to be seen as a normal young girl she and her Mother hide their inner beauty from the world, the beauty and crime of being different; a witch. Compelled by her inner calling, she leads an adventurers life through the many parts of her labyrinth--an unmapped expanse of enchanted creatures, whimsical strangers and fairytales.

Ida goes through the cycles of life almost like it's seasons. She always wears a necklace with a phoenix carved into a royal brooch given to her on her sixth birthday. When it is winter her soul goes through a series of relapses- her mind recedes back into the earth and rises in the spring, like the rebirth of a phoenix. These series of fugues are known as a subtle form of dementia- she faints often in the winter--and when she feels overwhelmed or in danger. Ida's clothing choice is old fashioned gowns that flatter her young age and loves to carry around an old Mimzy doll given to her by her dead father Sir Malcom.

- During these ''hibernations'' Ida's mother records her displaced dreams and has said to hear her daughter speak to another entity present with her in her dreams. From recent recordings Ida's name for this entity is ''Bumbiee.'' Who when she awakes, explains that Bumbiee revisits her in her idle months of dreaming-adventures of a world she thoroughly explains with great detail.

- Ida is also said to have memories that she hadn't yet endeavored. It is unknown whether Ida makes up these unconscious memories--during her months of dreaming or if they're predictions that'll occur later on in her future.
