  • Artist Info: i'm trying to convey the concept of rabies.<br />
    rabies is called the lyssavirus, so i'm Lyssa V.<br />
    Lyssa is Greek for madness, fury, rage, frenzy.<br />

    i'm still working on it.<br />

    i think it's a fascinating virus, it travels up the nerves from point of entry up to the brain.<br />
    traveling through the axoplasma in a retrograde direction.<br />
    <br />
    there is actually a part of the dog's tongue called the "lyssa," people used to think it was a worm in the tongue that caused rabies and so they would cut it out, but it was really this natural structure that happens to look like a worm.<br />

    people are strange.<br />

    i don't have the "fury" bit really in my av, because i doubt the rabies virus itself is furious.<br />
    <br />
    i'd rather be a virus.<br />
    efficient, mechanical, empty.<br />
