Description:
In the fairy tale The Steadfast Tin Soldier a one legged tin soldier falls in love with a paper ballerina who appears to have one leg as well. After being tricked by a goblin and going through a harrowing ordeal the tin soldier returns to the other toys but before he can talk to the ballerina he is thrown into the fire. Through a cruel twist of fate the poor doll is blown into the fire as well where she burns next to the melting tin soldier.
