Silence. That is how the night began.
Before they invaded.
Thunder crashed, and before it was known, the first wall fell.
Soldiers poured in by the dozens, they were overwhelming.
Faster than lighting, the unknown force was destructive.
Lives lost. More walls fell.
They entered the main hall, slaughtered everyone inside.
Not a woman nor child left to morn over lost men.
They left, and the storm cleared.
