- Description: Once upon a woman lived alone who wanted a child to keep her company desperately, so she made one of scraps of scraps in her sewing box. The hair was fine silk, the skin satin, and eyes of buttons. When she ran out of satin, the woman used socks for the figure's feet and black gloves for hands. As the woman stared at the soulless figure she'd made, magic brewed. The result was a doll with a soul, but she was fragile and had to mend herself often as to not worry her mother.
