@Mephiles the Dark: It is a bit confusing. Basically this form "Mystic" or "Ultimate" whichever you prefer to call it, became his Super Saiyan transformation. When he would transform into a Super Saiyan this is the form he would take.
Although in the most recent movie release, DBZ: Battle Of Gods, he's able to access Mystic and his Super Saiyan forms. This could have been an error they made but he could probably use either one by this point even though Super Saiyan would be pointless. - Report As Spam

- This form of Gohan confused me... He was so powerful when he fought Buu, and he wasn't even using his Super Saiyan form? Why didn't he turn Super Saiyan?! Shouldn't that have increased his power even more?
