Upon the beginning of the climatic final battle between Ichigo Kurosaki and Byakuya Kuchiki. Ichigo reveals the grand debut of his Zanpakuto's Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu (Heavenly Chained Cutting Moon). While unlike previous known Bankai's, rather than an vast expansion of their power, it's a compression of Ichigo raw spiritual power. Allowing ichigo to fight at hyper speed combat exceeding that of Shunpo.

Actually his original nickname "Strawberry Ichigo" and is other Berry related monikers are because of his Strawberry Blond hair, Tite Kubo has made very apparent in the manga various times before. -_-
