- If you were to use a male base with Sonic, that would make him look too buff. He needs the slender build of a female base. A lot of small, slender male characters are like this.

- @ Queen - Cosplay isn't based on gender! How many times do we need to say this? If a MALE character has a feminine stature, a FEMALE base should be used. Do only males cosplay male characters in real life? NO. Do only females cosplay female characters in real life? NO. THE STATURE IS WHAT MATTERS.
