Between 2007 and 2008, I had this love for the Gainax's anime, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and its respective mecha. I also loved Gainax's other much older anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and I thought how cool it would be to have a crossover fight between EVA01 and Gurren Lagann! This is the resulting line work I made about a year and a half ago that I just found.
