Brian walked with the rest of the ground team, keeping an eye out for where the giant Klawf could be. He had no idea what it looked like, but surely it couldn't be that hard to spot, right? He could see Aile take off, and when Raifort turned and asked if his teammates were usually this quick to run off. "They're both Channelers," he said, shrugging. "Odd's a Ghost-type Channeler and Aile is a Ground-type Channeler. Chances are they felt something and went to invest--" Before he could finish, two explosions were heard, and he turned to see a rush of rock and boulders bearing down on them. Oh, crap, was the only thing in his mind as he recalled Randy and took off running, making sure to keep an eye on his surroundings as he did so.

Rachel was running not too far from him, her feet flying over the rocky ground with an ease that told Brian she was accustomed to running in such places. He couldn't help but wonder what she did for a living, but he wasn't going to ask now, not with their lives in danger. As it was, he didn't have to ask, as he had to slow to avoid a rather large rock and wound up right in the path of one of the oncoming boulders. He sped up again, trying to keep ahead of the giant rock trying its hardest to roll over him. His luck almost ran out when he heard the boulder hit something, and he chanced a look over his shoulder to see that the boulder had hit a smaller, sloped rock, sending it into the air momentarily. Unfortunately, as it came back down, Brian realized that he was right in the path, and that there was no way he was going to be able to avoid the crushing impact of a giant ball of rock.

As the rock neared its point of impact, the shadow looming over him, Brian felt something slam into his side, sending him out of the way of the boulder, which hit the ground not two inches from his shoes before continuing its path of destruction. Looking at his side, he saw Rachel picking herself up off the ground, then turn to look at him. "Quick, run to that cave!" she said, indicating the cave she was talking about. "We can take shelter there until the rock slide stops!" Not taking any chances, Brian got up and followed her into the cave, and not a moment too soon, because another, smaller wave of rock rolled past him just as he ducked into the small opening. "Let's hope everyone else got out alright," Rachel said, her voice trembling.

Brian nodded in agreement, though he couldn't help but wonder what had caused the explosions. He knew Beau had a proclivity for causing explosions, but he had doubts that the Vivillion hybrid would intentionally cause explosions that would result in a rock slide. He pulled out his SNAG and started calling the ones that were with him and the others, starting with Raifort and going from there, trying to find out if everyone else was alright. He knew it was more likely than not that everyone had gotten separated in the ensuing run for safety, so who had ended up with who, and where, was his most pressing concern at the moment. "If anyone can hear this, Rachel and I are holed up in a cave about 100 meters from where the rock slide started," he said, hoping one of the others picked up. "We're both safe, just waiting until it's stopped raining rock to venture out."

Odd had only just begun to wander the canyons once more when his senses picked up on something unusual. A soul unfamiliar to him and one that was either very large or very powerful. Possibly both. That was certainly a telling sign he had picked up on the titan they were hunting for or so he hoped, so he kept Chorale as close as possible and headed off toward it, tossing out his hoverboard and jumping on.

Catching up to Ms. Raifort as he raced toward whatever he was sensing, he called out, "I think I've got an idea where it is. I'm gonna go check it out and let you know as soon as I figure it out." slowing down just long enough to ensure she actually heard him as he passed. Racing along the valleys between the high canyon walls and shooting through narrow channels as he followed the soul he was sensing, he felt a sudden shift. It wasn't quite a different entity but it certainly didn't feel the same anymore. It was more... wild? Floral? It was hard to name what had changed at first but the closer he got, the more it became clear. Natural felt like the right word. Like a spirit of nature made manifest rather than a living soul or a ghost of some kind.

As he draw up on the source of the soul he had sensed, he realized whatever it was wasn't visible. Camouflaged, maybe? "Where in the world could something that big hide in plain sight?" He asked himself, looking all around for a moment, looking up toward the top of the mesa in front of him in the hope off spotting something. All he could see from here was the branches of a large and surprisingly verdant tree for the area. Maybe whatever he was sensing was hiding in or under it? Recalling Chorale to her ball and tucking his hoverboard away, he called out a partner he would have preferred to leave in their ball in this kind of environment. "Think you can use Telekinesis to help me up there?" He asked the Shedinja. The full-body nod that came in response prompted him to begin the climb as Cadenza latched onto his back, using their ghostly powers to make the Channeler weightless for the moment and easing the climb. "I don't plan to leave you out of our ball for too long around here. There seem to be a lot of Rock-types around that could hurt you pretty badly in this environment." Odd warned as he ascended the not-quite-sheer side of the mesa.

~Thank you for your concern, Sterling. I appreciate that you worry for me.~ Came the spiritual "voice" of his partner. ~I think I will be alright for a short time to assist with this, however.~

"Yeah... Just be aware of... anything that might attack us... right now." Odd responded, noticing that his breathing was growing more ragged in spite of the lack of gravity pulling him down right now. Had his muscles atrophied that much as his channeling training progressed?

Thankfully nothing did and the channeler reached the top shortly thereafter, recalling Cadenza with a word of thanks and a heavy sigh before flopping onto his back and attempting to catch is breath. While he did so, he observed the tree from his upside-down angle. It was one of the weirdest trees he could remember seeing in quite some time and it certainly looked "off" in some what but he couldn't quite name how or why just now. Just as he felt he could breath properly again and began to get up and investigate for closely, the tree began to lash out. Or it looked like it was the tree doing it, geysers of an unusual green fluid shooting out of it in seemingly random directions with enough force to pierce the surface of the canyon walls, completely penetrating some of the thinner ones.

One such geyser barely missed the channeler, causing him to jump backward and cover his face to defend from the debris blown into the air by the impact and leaving his arms covered in small cuts that oozed thick black ichor. Along with that his own fluids, however, he found the green "ooze" to be oddly oily with a very low viscosity. It ran off his skin relatively quickly but left slick green-tinged lines in it's wake. "Is this... olive oil?" He asked as the smell hit his nose.

Regardless of what it was, he began to consider his options if whatever the source of those geysers was didn't stop soon. He may need to call one of his Pokemon out for assistance but which would was anyone's guess at the moment. He needed to figure out what was attacking him first. That was when he actually spotted Sol, wheree he was and called out to him. "Any idea what's attacking us?!" He asked, recalling the hybrid's, a bit dated but likely still mostly relevant, history with the local Pokemon population.

Aile would be guided through a winding canyon, in a completely different direction from the others. Eventually she would come to a dead end, facing down a mesa far taller than all the others. Observing her surroundings for a moment she would find not much else, giving her the sense that she was alone, human nor Pokemon near. The only other thing to catch her eye in her immediate surroundings was the cave opening at the base of the mesa. Approaching the open she would see a faint pink glow coming from within. With each step closer she could make out the source of the light eventually believing it to come from some sort of plant. Could it be? The Herba Mystica? The origins of the Titan Pokemon itself? Completely unguarded too.

Her artifact continued to try and pull her and itself towards the cave and the glowing plant inside. Being this close she could now really sense how badly her artifact seemed to want this plant, it yearned for it. Why it wanted it so bad was a mystery but regardless this was what she too was looking for. Maybe it was just responding to her own desires? Either way, here it was, the Sweet Herba Mystica, hers for the taking.

Aile followed that pulling, starting to get unnerved by the lack of Pokémon the stronger the pulling was getting. When she got to the base of the mesa and looked around, she noticed that this was where they encountered the Klawf the first time, with that small cave glowing faintly pink. She looked around quickly, expecting the giant crab to be there, but no. There wasn't a soul. Which concerned her. A lot. "Arceus... Something's going to happen... Screw it, though. I probably won't stop being compelled to get here until I actually grab it..." She'd cautiously head in to the cave gingerly plucking the Sweet Herba Mystica and looking at it. "Huh." She'd find a place to sit and split the fronds apart carefully, figuring that this might be something that Snagem itself would like to investigate. Before packing the fronds away into a part of her backpack, she'd pluck one of the leaves to taste it herself, mostly out of curiosity. "... You know. I probably shouldn't be surprised, but that is surprisingly sweet for a leaf. Huh."

Looking on as he took another dive off of his Charizard's back to start sweeping some more of the canyons, Beau would be greeted with the somewhat familiar sight of a rock slide coming towards the ground crew that was the exact opposite direction he had taken off for. Wincing at the likelihood he had been a partial cause for that mess and unable to turn within the mesas surrounding him, the Vivillon hybrid could only offer a silent sorry as his attention turned to a mesa that seemed to be.....in a different spot than it had been before? Well, at least some of the others seemed to be looking at the potential oddity. And just before his attention turned away from Sol, Beau got to watch as a jet of...something....lanced through the air around the hybrid. Snapping to attention as a more long term threat presented itself in the area, Beau would give a sharp whistle towards the still hovering Charizard. "Zippo! Take me up! We gotta check that out!" Beau yelled, feeling the arms of his Charizard grabbing him and throwing him onto his back before taking off towards where Sol was currently running into issues with whatever strangeness was firing these liquid-looking streams. Who knew what could this all be from?

"Hm?"

Sol would be quick to notice the distant mesa from his vantage point in the air, though it took a bit for him to notice there was any movements from it at all; if they were, they were quite subtle and he was closer to chalking it up to a a visual illusion born from wanting to hope he saw the Titan. But last he checked, Klawf didn't have trees on them. "We... haven't seen a Torterra wander its way over, have we?" He asked himself, opting to get a closer look before informing the rest. He'd arrive shortly after Odd, seeing there wasn't a Klawf to be seen. Or a mesa really moving, either. A trick of the eyes, he lamented, but it still warranted the inspection all the same.

Not that he needed much of one when the 'tree' growing admist the drylands decided he and Odd weren't welcome, moving to dodge the liquid shot out and watching a rock get pulverized instead. The scent would come next, followed by seeing a few olives around what'd be better described as arms rather than branches. Followed by a double take, as if he was trying to convince himself about what he was seeing. "...an Arboliva? Por qué? I thought they didn't like the drylands," he remarked, quick to look over to Odd as he sent Arnau out. "You wouldn't happen to have anything to handle a Grass-type in case of some uniquely specific circumstance like this one, would you? Or a strong enough Fighting move. Just watch for the oil, lest we end up like those rocks! Arnau, if you can get in, strike with your Fury Cutter! I'll see if I can't find an opening."

Arnau would be patient, the Gallade making sure there was a decent opening before trying to make his advance. Sol stayed back as he kept a Flamethrower ready, fire surrounding one of his hands as he kept his guard up, waiting to see what kind of olive branch would be extended towards him and Odd. Likely the painful sort, based on that last attack.

Before Aile could put the frond into her mouth the sand of her artifact would plume out in front of her and from it came a small white flying creature which would land on her hand and snap up the frond for itself. No doubt Aile's immediate reaction would be to flail her hand around to get the thing off of her which would result in the creature being flung to the ground in front of her, it choosing not to fly as it was too focused on the Herba Mystica piece in its grasp.

Now on the ground, eating the frond, Aile could get a good look at the creature. It was an insect, very small in size, barely bigger than an inch. In fact it was one Aile was probably familiar with considering she considered herself something of a Ground-type specialist, it was a Nincada. Where did it come from? Was it inside her artifact this whole time? How did it get there? Was that why the artifact was acting weird? And why does this Nincada want the Herba Mystica so badly? All questions that needed answering. Right now there wasn't time to answer them as Aile quickly would realize the severity of this situation as the Nincada began to grow, now almost two feet in size, roughly the size of a normal Nincada. However this was no normal Nincada.

"Cadaaa!" The bug hissed at Aile, its Shadowy aura flaring up into existence. It was a Shadow Pokemon! The Shadow Nincada would then flap its wings and fly off the ground coming straight for Aile as it attempted to take the rest of the Herba Mystica from here. This was really bad, not only was there a Shadow Pokemon here in Paldea but it was hungry for the one thing that could empower it and make this situation a thousand times worse. She needed to put this thing down and fast, otherwise she could inadvertently be responsible for bringing the Shadow virus to this region.

After having to shut down a incoming wild Pokemon, Freth would manage to putter along in the air, still trying to get down flying, at the very least from point A to point B. She wasn't fast in any capacity, still missing the fact that she didn't need to use psychic power before just to do air travel. It was almost begging the question of what was the point of her wings anymore. As she looked ahead, she managed to effectively hover towards Sol as he seemed like he was getting on the ready for something.

"Wait, what did I miss?" Freth would ask Sol. "What's going on? What's an Arboliva? That's not a Paldean term for something, is it?" she asked, pulling out a Pokeball herself, trying to figure out what was going on. And worse, without the instinctual senses she once had, having them instead being replaced by the psychic prowess, she wasn't all too certain what was out there as of yet. She then would take notice to a Pokemon and all manner of olive oil going all over the place.

"...that...is weird."
The Hunter stated.

"I am not going to fly around to try to fight that thing. I need to land. No more."

"Whatever. You know though, it seems to be a Grass type...though all of your Ice types are weak to that thing too. Sneasel might be getting a work out right now."

"It seems so...fortunately that fire Pokemon didn't do too much to him beforehand." Freth said, taking out a Pokeball. Freth would stop her flight and went on a drop again, just as she did before and then stopped herself just short of the ground. Freth couldn't help but to give a sigh of relief before she ran off and made her way off around the area, taking out a Pokeball. "Sneasel, come out!" she then shouted. She would toss the ball and in a flash, out came the Hisuan Sneasel once again, ready to go.

"Nyyaao." The Sneasel howled out.

"Let's give this a shot then. Sneasel! Poison Jab!" she shouted, pointing up towards the Arboliva. The Sneasel would quickly scale the mesa, going on in. its claws now severely laced with venom and then went on the attack on the gigantic plant Pokemon.

Odd paused for a moment at Sol's question, momentarily forgetting which of his Pokemon he had on hand other than his most recently utilized; Cadenza. "Oh! Duh!" He smacked himself in the forehead at that point, tossing out a Dusk Ball and releasing one of his lesser-used partners he'd actually brought along in case of a weirdly specific situation like this. Nothing was ever easy with Snagem and he knew he was liable to end up in a fight nobody ever expected so half his team had come along as "I might need them for something" insurance.

"Maro!" Remix cried out as he appeared from the Dusk Ball. "Welcome to the warzone, buddy. Use Heat Wave. If that thing's a Grass-type, let's dry it out!" He instructed with a playful greeting to his partner. Remix gave him a look that screamed 'don't make jokes like that' but swiped his bone baton across the mark on his face and lit the ends one after the other, giving it a wild spin that generated a great deal of hot air before using his otherworldly power to push the pocket of hot air toward the "Arboliva" Odd had pointed out, intending to use the extra heat to cook the giant plant like the massive herb it looked like.

Aile blinked as the small insect popped out from seemingly nowhere, jumping up and backwards with the remaining fronds, making sure they were put away on her backpack more securely. Shock and concern would only grow on her face with the growing size of the Nincada, especially once the shadow aura decided to flare up. “I... What?!” A thousand words racing through her mind(mostly expletives), she dug around in a different pocket for a Pokéball of some sort, pulling out a Great Ball first. “Right, well. Let’s see?” She threw the ball out and while it connected, it didn’t open, only making the Nincada even more angry. “Oh. Merde. Hey, back off!” She jumped to the side as the cicada flew in. “Okay then. So. this might be overkill, but since you’re my only purified Pokemon, come on out, Tati!” Her Flygon would come out of the held Pokéball, with the dragon shaking her head and looking around briefly, focus quickly landing onto the Nincada as it charged forward. She’d put herself in the way of the Shadow Rush trying to catch it while Aile dug around for her Snag Machine.

“Goon! Fly Fly!” Tati did her best to keep a hold of the squirming insect, but her tail flicked around irritably.

“Shrry, Tati,” Aile apologized through closed teeth, pulling on her Snag glove with her mouth. “Trying to make this fast, though, and missing one hand doesn’t help!” She dug through her bag one more time before cursing again, hunting for the previously thrown Great Ball. “You think you could- Nope!” Rolling out of the way, she’d narrowly dodge the Nincada throwing itself at her, trying to get back into her backpack. “Weaken this thing some, please!”

As Aile moved out of the way, Tatooine would unleash a stream of flame from her mouth, with the cicada deciding it was going to try and dig underground to avoid some of it. This at least gave the woman some time to pick up the as of yet unused Great Ball, charging it in her glove until she saw the Nincada next. That would happen to be rather soon, as she felt the tremors from the burrowing coming her way. Whistling for Tatooine to pick her up, she’d be lifted off of the ground just as the Nincada came out. As it flew up, there would be another gout of flame from Tatooine, followed by shrill insectoid cry. The trainer would take this opportunity to throw the Great Ball that was now ready in her hand. This time when it connected, it opened up and dragged the Nincada inside with a burst of white light. The blue and red ball landed onto the ground and wobbled once… and then click. Huh. That went faster than usual.

Getting put down gently after all of that, Aile would pick up the Great Ball, staring at it in confusion. She had to snag the damned thing. This brought forth a whole lot more questions. Composing herself enough to bring out her SNAG, she’d sit down once more to type out a question to the others, double and triple checking that this was not being sent to the civilian members of the school.

Snagems
“So, good news and bad news. Good news. I found that Herba Mystica plant that we were sent out here to find. Bad news. I found it by following a midget Nincada that grew large after eating one of the fronds. Worse news: It was a Shadow Nincada, and I had to snag it. So, if anyone on the team has a damned Shadow Nicada that they would like to reclaim, feel free, I would just like a Great Ball back in return. If not, well hell, don’t know where the hitchhiker came from. Keep an eye out. And don’t make mention of the Shadow Pokémon to the school. Enjoy the news, though! ”

With the message sent off to the team, she stared at the ground for a good minute, trying to rack her brain. Just who would have planted a Shadow Pokémon on her? And when? Was it inside her artifact before it became a Shadow Pokémon? Arceus… Her head began to swim before she shook her head and composed another message to the non Snagems of their group.

Academy
“So, had a hiccup happen, but I think I might have found the Herba. A little guy decided that they wanted it, and that must have been what I picked up on. So far, everything’s been handled, and I’ll be on my way to you shortly. Just need a moment to catch my breath, there was a fair bit of running around.”

Once she sent that off, Aile took a good look at Tati before hugging her. “Tati, you have no idea how happy I am that you’re a vaccinated Pokémon now. And how much I probably need to get one of those Immunizer things for my own SNAG that everyone else has. Because you’re right, that was ridiculous, and if it wasn’t a Shadow Pokémon, I wouldn’t have used you to start.”

“Goooon.” Tatooine cooed happily, her tail thumping happily now. She got an apology and explanation from Aile, everything was good now.

"It's the Pokemon attacking us," Sol remarked, feeling like he'd stated the obvious before adding, "Grass-type for sure. Normal too, if I'm not getting types mixed up. You've probably seen a Smoliv already, Cera's been carrying one around as soon as they hatched; this-" He looks to the Arboliva again. "...is what that'll eventually evolve into. Though usually they're gentler sorts when they're not provoked like this, and I doubt our presence was the only reason. That said, before I forget..."

Briefly taking out his SNAG, he'd manage to take a picture of the Arboliva with it before putting it back away. "The Director wasn't keen on giving us Paldean Pokedex data, so I hope that's a photogenic enough shot for us to put into GRAY's database for... now..." Almost as soon as it was pocketed, it'd go off again, now from Aile's messages with the private one giving him pause before a harsh whisper would be spoken into it once he was sure it was still on the private channel and wasn't likely to be heard by any of the students.

"You found a what? And had to snag it!? Far as I know, that wasn't one of ours!... We'll keep an eye out, just don't let it back out."

Freth's Sneasel would get in its surprise Poison Jab in, blind siding the giant living olive tree, sinking its poison dripping claw into the trunk of the Grass-type delivering a Super Effective blow. Reeling from the attack Sol's Gallade got its opening as it lashed out with a Fury Cutter, lopping off some of its leaves in the process. The assault continued as Odd's Marowak appeared and began to generate a searing gale of wind at Arboliv with Heat Wave, the Olive Pokemon letting out a cry of pain. A normal Arboliv would no doubt have succumbed to its injuries at this point, or by far worse off, but whatever made the Arboliv this big also made it harder to take down.

In the middle of the assault, between Sneasel and Gallade's attacks, the Arboliva had involuntarily released a bunch of seeds which had fallen to the ground and made their way into the rock, the energy contained in the seeds spreading outward causing a thick mat of grass to grow at their feet, a Grassy Terrain. The grass would then give Arboliva, and the other Pokemon had they actually been hurt, life granting energy from the grass and heal itself a bit.

The angry Arboliva would then go on the offense as it pointed a single olive at the Gallade and draw energy from the grass beneath. At first the energy charging up in the olive was white but quickly it turned green before a pulsating beam of Grass energy was fired from the olive, the beam itself almost as large as a Hyper Beam. While it fired off its Terrain Pulse it began to wildly fling its free branch around as it executed a Flail, not particularly aiming at any of them but both Freth and Odd, and their Pokemon, were possibly at risk, small chunks of rock and grass sent flying with each impact.

As the assault went down on the Arboliva, titanic size or not Freth was still pretty certain that this would have shut down the Pokémon in rather short order, or be pretty close to it. Unfortunately, Freth started to wonder what this Herba Mystica entailed that not only got Pokémon to a titanic size, but made them withstand such an assault upon it. And worse, it made her wonder if anyone actually needed to get their hands on it, let alone other Pokémon. So far, it didn’t seem like it was good news for anyone involved.

Freth then perked up and saw the grass grow on this otherwise barren mesa in a rapid pace, staring in confusion. “Wait, what? Is this a Grassy Terrain? When did that thing have the chance?”

“It probably didn’t. It’s more likely a defense mechanism.”
The Hunter spoke up in the reaches of her mind. “Something that got shook loose from that Pokémon.”

“All the same, we can’t let up…Sneasel, keep up with the Poison Jabs! We got to make sure that Grassy Terrain isn’t going to be enough to keep it going! Let that poison flow!” she shouted to her Hisuan Sneasel. As the Sneasel was more than happy to do that, the worst would end up happening. The Arboliva was starting to fight back fiercely. The massive pulse that it unleashed, while it didn’t hurt the Sneasel all that much, was enough to stop it in its tracks, halting its assault. The follow-up Flailing about of the grass Pokémon, on the other hand, was more than enough to level Sneasel fiercely, smashing the Poison type clear off the ledge. “Sneasel!” she shouted, rushing over as close as she could. She quickly reached out, trying to focus on Sneasel. Between the rampaging plant and the debris that it was kicking up, it was severely difficult to get a lock on the poison type. Sneasel would end up getting slowed down in his descent, but Freth unable to keep focus on him as well as she wanted to. Fortunately, he was slowed enough where she would catch the Sneasel in a soft landing in her arms.

“Sneasel?” she said, trying to check on the Hisuan Sneasel in her arms. The Sneasel moaned a bit, going crossed eyed for a couple of moments. The Flail attack rocked Sneasel’s world for a good bit and he was going to need a minute or two before he stops seeing the stars and grass seeds orbit around his head. “Crap…”

“So much for that idea.” The Hunter stated. “Any other bright ideas?”

“Not really.” She said. “I’m afraid this thing might have something like Giga Drain and I don’t want to put my Ice types into that given their other typing and I didn’t bring Cryoganal with me. I don’t want to give that Arboliva the time of day if I can help it. If it withstood that kind of assault, its not going go down easy. And this Grassy Terrain isn’t going to help matters either; I don’t have any Pokémon that can take care of that. And all honestly, if it did stay standing, I was hoping that Sneasel could have poisoned it.”

“Poison a target that large? Good luck…”

“One could hope.” Freth said. With the Arboliva playing king of the hill…butte…mesa? It was going to be difficult to keep the assault on and time was of the essence with the Grassy Terrain giving it a means to recovery. “I’m open to ideas guys!” Freth then shouted to no one in particular.

Odd and Remix danced between the various attacks lobbed in their direction as best they could manage, pulling and throwing one another as they were able to up until Odd caught the strangeness of what was going on. “Where’d the Grassy Terrain come from?” He asked no one in particular as he made to give Remix a boost out of range of the incoming Flail and its resulting rain of debris. He was a bit too slow, however, with the minor distraction causing him to pause for a split second too long and Remix was hit squarely in the back of the head by a large chunk of stone flung airborne by Arboliva’s flailing. The Marowak jolted forward, grabbing at the back of his head and yelping in pain, drawing Odd’s focus back to the problem at hand; dealing with this gigantic, evergreen beast of a Pokémon.

“It’s definitely tough but I wonder if it can survive a sustained flame?” The Channeler wondered aloud. “Think this grass will fuel a big enough bonfire?” He asked Remix, gently rubbing the scratched up patch on the back of his skull.

“Maro!” Remix replied, almost certain it would.

“Great! Use Fire Spin, then, and make it as tall as possible. I want those olives roasted.” Odd directed, releasing another of his Pokémon as he did. This one might have been the better option for the battle but he needed her to channel. With Adagio as his side, he drew upon her hellfire to great bright blue flames of his own for a moment. Gathering the flames of his Wicked Wick together into an orb similar to Adagio’s Inferno, he waited until Remix found his opening and, with a quick spin of his bone baton and a swipe at the ground, he sent a stream of flames spiraling around Arboliva through the grasses it had created. Just before the stream connected and the fiery tornado began to engulf as much of the giant Grass-type as possible, he hurled the blue fireball toward its midsection with the hope that his own flames would at least startle the massive thing even if they didn’t hurt it much. “Watch out for the boom!” He called to Freth and Sol, hoping that if they hadn’t seen what he was doing that this was enough warning to avoid friendly fire.

Tsuki didn't bother all that much with exploration or trying to interact with any wild Pokemon- instead he opted to follow Ms. Raifort and hike up through the mesa to get a good look at this Titan Pokemon she had mentioned to them earlier. He kept his hands wrapped behind his head and made the mistake of not paying all that much attention to what was going on. This was just a hike towards a huge Pokemon, right? Then the ground rumbled, and the other Snagems were running off, and the boy looked like a Deerling caught in the headlight of a car for a moment until his Magby leaned over from her perch on his shoulder and slapped him dead across the face. "MAG-BYYYY!" she yelled at him.

Shaking his head and having gotten more of a grip, Tsuki leapt out of the way of one boulder in time to avoid becoming an unpleasant bit of graffiti on the ground. He kept his head low and covered it with his hands to avoid inadvertently being OHKO'd. What could he even do here, the boy wondered. He could head back and follow Brian and Rachel into the cave and wait out the damage or... or Tsuki could chase after the two channelers that had gone off to investigate. He opted to follow after Odd and Aile, if he lacked anything in battling prowess he'd at least be able to help in identifying Paldean Pokemon for the others.

"Oh, an Arboliva! Oh, an Arboliva." Tsuki noticed, tilting his head, seemingly confused by seeing a Grass type when he expected a Klawf. "They're usually really nice unless you mess with it- then it can spit oil to break oooooooooh." And then it connected. It was the thing sending rocks at them! Taking a step back, the trainer decided that he didn't want to overextend and get Maggie hurt and taken out of commission before they even got to the Titan Pokemon. And well- there was always the chance that people had access to Fire Type moves too.

"Hey Maggie, try using that Sunny Day move we saw over at the bamboo grove." The trainer said, watching as his Magby leapt forward from his shoulder and into the fray. She looked upwards towards the sky and howled as she shot a radiant beam of Fire chi into the air. Like shooting a flare in broad daylight, but it actually was a little blinding and made the air feel like it was ten degrees hotter.
