After years in the B/C, we find it's easiest for individuals to simply make and manage their own breeding agreements with others! That's right -- staff will not get involved in your agreements! It is up to you, the players, to make decisions on who your character will be allowed to breed with and whether or not those agreements remain in place.
Please note: All breedings should be considered an IC happening! It's possible the parents aren't aware of the children's existence, but please note any offspring will be considered related, even if the family is unaware. Even if you don't RP, these are not OOC Breedings! We may run contests where colorists base pets off a pair who are considered completely non-relations -- but they are not obtained via Breeding Raffles!
Additionally, please limit the amount of agreements you make per pet! Each pet can only have a max of one (1) agreement in place at any given time! Your character might have a string of loves but we think it's most fair if you focus on promised agreements, first. While you can break them and make a new one if you lose interest, we just think it's easier and most fair not to have a ton for each pet. This doesn't mean your character ICly can't go around with more than one character or have non-breeding flings. :3 You just need to wait to make official breeding agreements until their current agreement in place wins or is cancelled.
One Time Agreements
These agreements are meant to be single-use agreements. Essentially, you are giving someone the right to enter breedings until successful. Once a breeding is won, they can no longer be entered together unless you make another agreement. These are good for flings or casual encounters or individuals who just can't be tied down, or aren't ready to be! There is no penalty for breaking the agreement.
Extended Agreements
These agreements give more flexibility for a pet and their breeding partner(s). Pets involved in these agreements will be allowed to extend the amount of Breeding Raffle wins before it's considered null. Unlike Fated Mates, players may break these freely. They do not gain a status for additional children chances, but they are also allowed to remain in place as long as all players agree to the terms.
These are good for individuals who wish to commit for a certain amount of time, or who would like have breedings with another more than once, but don't want the complications or seeming permanence of being Fated Mates.
Fated Mates Agreements -- Closed
These agreements give your Couple or Poly-Group an automatic Fated Mate status. This status can be equipped in a Breeding Raffle and will give an extra 10% chance for an extra offspring! For every year they remain Fated Mates, the 10% chance of the status goes up again until it reaches 100%. This status goes away if the Fated Mate Agreement is broken!
Fated Mates are individuals who only ever need one agreement in place. This allows them to enter any Breeding Raffle or Breeding Contest with their Fated Mate(s) and the agreement does not go away upon winning.
Fated Mates cannot breed with any other pet or have any children with anyone that is not their Fated Mate.
Additionally, Fated Mates may choose a God or Spirit to bless their union. There is a small chance that future offspring will have a higher chance for a Blessing/Curse or some sort of gift or inspiration from said Spirits who are in such a happy union.
If you want to get out of your Fated Mate story, your character may pray to the gods of Fate to change their Fate and break the agreement. However, there are consequences! Having a changed Fate means the characters go on Breeding Cooldown. They cannot make new agreements or enter raffles for one six (6) months. Changing ones Fate is a big deal, after all -- otherwise it wouldn't be Fate. They lose the Status and any additional Offspring Chances that went with it.
Additionally, if we see individuals making Fated Mate Agreements and breaking them again and again, you may lose the right to have future Fated Mates agreements! Don't enter into this agreement lightly!

Agreement Rules
A pet/character may only have one (1) agreement made at any given time. If you agree to fling with a character and make an agreement, you cannot make an agreement with someone else until the breeding(s) is/are won/obtained =or= you nullify it. Please keep in mind if you make agreements with multiple slots the agreement remains active until all slots are obtained!
If all pets in a breeding are owned by the same person, an official agreement is not required. The exception is Fated Mate agreements. However, you are not allowed to make or try for Rogue Breedings or Self-Paired Breedings if you've already entered or create an agreement with someone else using the same pet(s).
Fated Mate Agreements are required even if all pets involved are self-owned.
For Fated Mate Agreements, you may choose a God or Spirit to bless the union. You get to decide if you want a chance for the colorist to have the spirit influence or bless future breeding offspring every raffle.
If you don't choose a God or Spirit to bless the Fated Mate union upon creation, then you will automatically opt out of ever having the spirits influence or bless future breedings.
You may only have one (1) agreement for a specific pet at any given time. However, there is no limit to how many agreements you have so long as they're for different pets.
You must keep track of your agreements, cooldowns, and Fated Mate XP bonus. Staff will track some Fated Mate information but it's still up to you to track!
All pets must be adults to be entered in an agreement!
Fated Mates that are broken go on six (6) month cool-down.
Anyone can break an agreement but all players must be notified/quoted in this thread! Not every player has to agree to the broken agreement! Once one person ends it, it's ended for everyone.
Any agreement made must be quoted and agreed upon by all players involved. Only when all players have quoted/agreed to the agreement will the agreement be valid.
For Fated Mates, we will be tracking the date it is made, as well as granting the Status. The Status should always be Fated Mates - Date of Agreement -- this will allow future staff to know how much XP bonus to grant!
You must include what Crystal you are open to in future breedings! RP Crystals are equipped to modify future offspring in that breeding. You must agree with your breeding partners ahead of time on what you are open to!
For example, if you never want a chance for throwbacks, then you should say no to Throwback Crystals! Agreeing upfront means breeding partners can't use a Throwback Crystal for the breeding even if they have one.
Should your preferences change, it is up to you to make a new breeding agreement!
No matter the amount of RP Crystals you and your Partner may have obtained, you may only equip Titles and Crystals that you yourself earn. At present, you cannot combine Crystals or titles with your partners! They will have to enter the raffle themselves!

Fated Mates Agreement
This agreement is good until broken -- it never goes void & null, even with owner inactivity. This is a blanket permission to breed the Fated Mates until it is broken!
There is a six (6) month cooldown if Fated Mates are broken, and serial breakers may lose the right to create future Fated Mate couples!

We suggest an element or emotion like Love, Sun, Moon, Stars, Fire, Wind, Rain, Flowers, etc. Please note that this Spirit could grant blessings, curses, items, or somehow meddle in future breedings! Please don't try to manipulate a colorist by being blessed by some specific edit you are wishing to get, such as Wings or Paws or Feathers -- try to have it make sense to what might be important to your characters!
