My Gaia name is AraTeran. It's the name of a very old D&D character who happened to be cliche and somewhat silly but for the purpose of nostalgia I keep my username intact. I am currently a Site Assistance Lead moderator which is basically a fancy way of saying that I work on a lot of different mod projects. I spend a bit of time on Gaia but I am not constantly glued to a computer screen so I may not answer PMs immediately.
If you have a question, first consider using the Q&A forum. About 95% of the questions I get could be answered in about 3 minutes via posting there. If you have a question that cannot be answered there then you can take the PM route. Please keep in mind that I am a person, not a robot. If you harass me, mass spam your question to multiple mods, or demand an answer within a 5 minute period of time you may be disappointed. I try to answer all user questions within reason but I do get a lot of PMs so occasionally they get lost in my inbox.
Contrary to popular belief, I am not a lonely or boring person in real life. I have a very active job and spend a lot of time outside as a result. I also enjoy D&D, bowling, cooking (although eating is better), watching far too many movies, video games, going to concerts when I can afford it, just general hanging out with friends, shooting firearms at a range (I am an excellent shot), learning how to do simple maintenance on my car, going to the occasional party, telling ridiculous stories, imagining what I would do with a million dollars, training the dog to do yet another trick, spending time entertaining my cat, complaining about the fact that dishes do not wash themselves, explaining to my mom that no I do not need another fancy scented lotion or perfume, and a lot of other random activities.
My cat is more awesome than your cat, dog, or other pet. It's not an opinion; I am just stating a fact. However, I do have a special place in my heart for all kitties and most dogs. When I finally dig out my camera I will post a picture somewhere.
