I can see how that must be the case; humanities PhDs seem to be so much more hardcore than science PhDs in that way. I think Bugars will be done with his PhD in about 5 years, but a friend of mine is doing a PhD in either History or Literature (or something combined - it's something specialized, and I can't remember), and she said she might need at least 8-10. I think my jaw fell on the floor at that point. You've got to be pretty dedicated to your study to do something like that, and it's something I can definitely respect!

I like how you call children sproglets. XD

Critical theory sounds pretty awesome. It also sounds like a heavy undertaking and must make for some interesting discussion! (I'm fascinated by humanities subjects, but since Bugars, Mussoh, and I all went into science subjects, we didn't have much opportunity to study them. I think all three of us would stay in school forever to learn about all this neat stuff we're missing out on if it were possible!)

And yes, I have seen miniature driving horses! They are adorable. Tiny goats riding in a miniature horse and buggy would qualify as overwhelmingly intense cuteness. XD

Although, I could start that grand scheme of 5 tanks filled with dolphins for about $125 (I could make somewhere in the area of 3mil a year). >_> But I'd rather spend money on getting a dog right now. XD

That is a cool dream. Good luck to him! I hear PhDs can take a pretty long time, especially for humanities subjects. What's critical theory? Is it related to political science?

I love goats so much. I really want a herd of pygmy goats, myself! I've even talked to a breeder around here, but for the moment, I can't start my own herd because I don't have a place that's zoned for livestock. Someday in the future, it will happen, though, and we will be able to share goat-rearing tips. biggrin

Aw! Those are cute! We have so many deer where I live, but not little mini ones like that. We do have lots of tiny fawns in spring, though. They live around our house, so we see them every year. <3
