Now, I would like to apologize for my messy, incomplete profile. It is much better than it was before, though it is missing many things. I was going to start completely over, but I decided against creating a new Gaia account -- I love this one far too much -- so instead I shall lament over the loss of so much coding, redo it sometime, and for now settle on a lot less bulk and a lot more promising mess. One day I shall have my internet back in my room and will be able to perfect all my websites. For now, this and my MySpace --- www.myspace.com/mijma -- will have to do.

Before I talk about my personal self, I must explain my Gaia self:

-I love random comments and PMs and friend requests, both to receive and to give.
-I prefer original, attractive usernames to ones with numbers and misspellings.
-I like meeting and talking to new people.
-I prefer literacy by a huge amount.
-I love to roleplay and am always eager to find more partners to enjoy it with.

Now, on with the me.

Name: Madeline. Nicknames: Maddy, Lyn. Username: Lyn Jazz Rosy Swan Hale. Reason: Lyn (nickname); Jazz (intimate nickname of favorite male book character); Rosy (intimate nickname of favorite female book character); Swan (last name of one book character I relate well to, one half of myself); Hale (last name of another book character I relate well to, another half of myself).

Age: Physically: 16. Mentally: anywhere from 5 to 50.

Eyes: Dark chocolate brown. Obscured by glasses.

Hair: Dark brown dyed burgundy...for now. Wavy, semi-long, thick.

Public: I am bisexual. I know what love is. I have felt love, I have been in love, many times. Some of those loves are still with me: love for my parents, my brother, my best friends, Hope and Tegan. Other loves have faded away, been lost, or died for whatever reason--sometimes very painfully. I have a past. I know what pain is. I know what emo and goth is. I know a lot, and yet I know nothing. Most of what I'm saying is delusional. If you listen to me, thanks a bunch! I am a liberal, but not a Democrat. I am pro-women, but not a feminist. I am pro-choice and pro-gay rights, but I don't care what you think as long as you respect the opinions of others. When it comes to change, I have gone through close to the most of all the people I know in the past few years. I usually have far too much too say, hence why I often have problems saying anything. I always look for the patterns and cool trends in numbers and words. I am a bit clumsy, but not as bad as I used to be, and my memory is getting worse, so that I am practically disabled (I don't memorize, I learn).

Personal: I lost my virginity on the 10th of August. I am a very open, very talkative person, who is not bothered by the thought of sex or the talking of perverted things. I am a loner, but there is a difference between being alone and being lonely; few people make me feel that difference. I try to be truthful, although I admit that I lie and am not ashamed of it. I don't lie when it really matters, and in all honesty, no matter how childish it may seem, I will not pretend something and suffer for that choice -- not anymore. Also, I reserve the right to freedom of speech, which means that if I want to say bad things to you, I will do so to myself/my confidantes and ignore you to your face.

Loves: The Twilight series ((The series is my life, almost too literally -- the metaphors are endless.)) and Stephenie Meyer; I am a super-fan-freak. Evanescence and Amy Lee. My best friend and fellow wannabe-biology nerd, Tegan. My other really good friend and sarcastic buddy, Hope.

Hates: Fakes. Cruelty. Death of innocence and innocents. Waste. Politics. Myself. Life.

Joys: Hanging out with Tegan, sleepovers with my best friends, being myself, feeling liberated, being happy. Pretending like everything is okay.

Miseries: Hurting the ones I love, having nothing to do, cleaning, suffering, being around people and feeling alone.

Fetishes: Blood, knives, fire, pain, playful banter, homosexual anything, warmth, heels, nails.

Distastes: Extremists, racists, ignorance, cruelty, politicians, misguided faith/beliefs, Journalists, Socialists, isms.

Accomplishments: Intelligence, writing, photography, making the ones I love happy.

Fears: Death of those I love, giant insects, demonic dolls/clowns, being lonely, depression.

Past: s**t has happened to me. I don't make a big deal out of it, usually, and when I do, it is only with close friends and when the subject applies. I am always willing to share my experiences and what wisdom I have gained, but only when asked about it, or if I feel it is appropriate for the current place and time. I hold no regrets, and I try to conquer all grudges and hate; nobody is worth wasting energy over. "Getting over love, loss, and pain is like recovering from alcoholism. There are steps to follow. I feel for the creator of AA. The steps are a b***h to discover blind."

Present: I am a Junior in high school. I am a bisexual girl who lives in a hick town and has some trouble as far as having relationships goes. I just got out of my first one, which lasted nineteen months, and ended with an accepting whisper. I am usually happy with my life. But I'm a teenager and have a lot to get over still. My past defines but does not limit me. My family is amazing and most of my teenage angst and melodrama is made up when I get too emotional.

Future: Next summer, Europe with grandma and a roadtrip with friends and Egypt with my favorite teacher. Summer after that, a month in Europe with my immediate family. Then to college at NYU, and in time marriage and babies. I want to write novels for a living, and I will have many beautiful, intelligent babies.

Issues I Feel Strongly About:

1. Bioengineering
-The food is not dangerous.
-We have been enhancing food for centuries.
-Starving people don't have a choice.
-Only people with enough can be picky.
-Think whatever you want; you don't have the right to spread bullshit and kill others for it.
-Political agendas are political agendas; don't lie about what you're really doing.

2. Gay Marriage
-It's my business. You don't like it, don't get it.
3. Homosexual Couples Adopting Children
-Gay is not a disease.
-Good parents are good parents, no matter what.
-So many people are growing up without fathers anyway.

4. Abortion
-What a woman does with her body is none of your concern.
-Most of the people against it are men and will never have children.
5. African-Americans Receiving Reparations
-No one deserves a free lunch.
-Everyone has to work in this world.
-If they get them, so should women, hispanics, other discriminated against races, gays, etc.
6. Evolution vs. Intelligent Design
-ID is not a science.
-Evolution is supported.
7. Global Warming
-It does not exist.
-We don't know our own weather patterns.
-It's not a very big change, if any.
-We are not important enough to affect the earth.
-Mother Nature will be here long after we die.
-What's happening could very well SUPPOSED to be happening.
8. Racism
-If you think one or more races are superior/inferior, you are racist.
9. Equality
-All people are not created equal.
-Men are not better than women; women do not deserve special treatment.
-Mental retardation does not equal royalty. ((And they are, in fact, retarded; "retard" means slow.))

On Gun Control:

Why I am against it: People have a right to defend themselves. In the constitution it says we have the right to bear arms in case the government becomes too tyrannical, because this country was based on revolution and the people controlling the government, not vice versa. The Patriot Act is the opposite of what we want.

Why their arguments for it don't hold up: Criminals don't obey the laws anyway. The accidents that occur are caused by stupid people leaving guns loaded and unlocked where children can reach them. If everyone did/might own a gun -- like it was in the Wild West and often is in Texas -- there would be a lot less violence, and many fewer successes.

-our definitions of "equality" and "racism" [not everyone is equal, you are only racist if you believe one race is better than another]
