The things that make me:Hi everyone! I’m Sarah. n__n Thought that I may as well put it in here since I don’t seem to remember to introduce myself later on. I’m Chinese but born and currently living in Australia, so that technically makes me Australian. Besides English, I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin pretty fluently. I’m a university student majoring in Psychology and Chinese. Strange combination? I know.
I’d like to think that I’m a pretty optimistic person; each day has the potential to be better than the last. I don’t know if I will still be saying this on my deathbed, but hey, you never know. ^^I act on impulse a lot and thank goodness it has never gotten me into trouble so far. I have moments where I find practically everything and anything funny, so if you’re trying to have a serious conversation with me it’s probably better to save it for later. XD Oh, and my attention span definitely needs some work.
Well, without further ado, let me introduce myself to you. ;D
I love:
>> All things Harajuku. I just can’t get enough of this Japanese fashion style; the clothing, the hair, the accessories and most of all, the makeup. ♥
>> Wearing dresses. I think every lady should have a favourite dress which makes her feel like a million dollars every time she wears it. =)
>> Coloured contact lenses, even though I don't need to wear glasses. So far I've had violet, gray, dark blue and light blue.
>> To draw and paint, even though I’m no Picasso. This love extends to painting my nails, where I use nail polish pens to draw patterns and designs on them. Why pay over $30 to get someone else to do it when your own designs are so much more unique? ^^
>> Baking cakes and cookies just because I love the smell that comes from the oven as they are baking. I bake, you eat. Sounds like a plan.
>> Starbucks in Winter. Actually, how about Starbucks all year round?
>> Making shapes out of clouds when they’re all white and fluffy.
>> Old churches with the stained glass windows; there’s just something really beautiful and romantic about them.
Favourites:
>> Colour: A really pretty dark red, sort of like blood red but a little darker.
>> Musical: The Phantom of the Opera
>> Composer: Andrew Lloyd Webber. Mhmm, he wrote the music to Phantom amongst some other really great pieces.
>> Opera singer: Sarah Brightman
>> Season: Winter. I love rainy days more than anything else
>> Flower: Two-toned pink and white oriental lilies

Must haves:
>> My little accessories: bags, earrings, necklaces and scarves. My biggest obsession right now would definitely still be scarves.
>> The greatest invention is cosmetic history: mascara.
>> Liquid eyeliner in black. I can’t manage to prevent the pencil type from smudging so I tend to avoid them when I can. ^^”
>> Constant supply of black and white nail polish. Other colours don’t tend to run out as quickly so I just buy them when the impulse suddenly strikes.
>> Perfume: Davidoff ECHO for women and DKNY Apple
>> Music.
I’d like to:
>> Travel to:
1. London: for the museums, culture and the architecture.
2. Korea: for the super cute boy bands and accessories.
3. Canada: to see snow for the first time. I’m convinced that they have the fluffiest snow there. XD
4. Japan: for the Harajuku fashion of course!
>> Learn how to play the piano and violin. Properly. I tried teaching myself violin after a semester with a teacher but that proved to be a rather fruitless endeavour.
>> Own and drive a Lamborghini Diablo in black… or maybe purple. I have a feeling that I’d tire of purple pretty quickly so it’s probably safer to stick with the black. *pops my own dream bubble* Yeah, right after I win the lottery. >.>
>> Believe that the world doesn’t revolve around money, but I know it really does. I would have to disagree with whoever said that money couldn’t buy you happiness. Would I be happy if I could buy myself that Lamborghini? Yes. Would the poor beggar on the street be happy if handed a bundle of cash? Yes.
Finally, this doesn’t quite belong in any category but I really do have faith in human compassion and the capacity for human beings to help each other. It’s just a shame that a lot of people forget about these things until a major disaster strikes, like an earthquake or a tornado. Life is frail more precious than you think. It’s really not that hard to smile at the person next to you on the train ride home; I’m sure their day was just as long and tiring as yours. Be supportive and cheer for your team, whether it is your work team, sports team or even just your family, even if they are losing because they’ve all worked hard for whatever it is they’re doing. Perfect example just came to mind: the school massacres in the US. That was probably the guy who needed a smile. That was probably the guy who needed someone to give him a pat on the back and say, “good job.”
Okay, so I guess what I’m really trying to say is: be a better you. Sounds too cliché for you? Do it anyway! ♥
