Hullo. I don't really know what to say here, but..

I'm known as Mort or Mae online, and I'm 20 years old.
I'm a pretty ordinary girl.
I draw sometimes. Slowly trying to enjoy it again.
I like comics and animation and books and film.
I'm a recovering neurotic.
I'm shy.
I read on the bus.
I sing when I'm alone.

I have about as much skill and patience for most social settings as a snail would enjoy having salt sprinkled on it.
That said, I really do like talking to people most of the time, but find it intensely difficult to keep up a conversation. :c
I tend to get along much better with children or older people over my peers.
I resent violence, ignorance, cynicism, cruelty.
I'm most at ease and happy around my family, or while chatting with my boyfriend.
I get rather depressed sometimes, but it passes in the end.

I like to help people.
I'd like to accomplish something big eventually.
I like root beer and soya milk.
I'm simple.
I have deep, complex dreams.
I'm a yellow belt in taekwondo.
I often remember the bad over the good, which really isn't entirely healthy.
I haven't seen much of life.
I want to go globe-trotting.
People often mistake me to be much younger than I actually am.
Nowadays I post only during special events.
I'm in a long-distance relationship with a pale, geeky boy, and we hope to be happily living together in our small, geeky world sometime in the future.
Christmas is my favourite time of the year. <3
