Waluigi is the (presumable) younger brother of Wario, and Luigi's arch-rival. He's a recurring figure in the spinoff and sports games, but to date has never made a mainstream appearance. Waluigi is extremely tall and thin, with a stereotypical old-time villain's mustache, and wears an upside-down 'L' on his hat.
He's a cheating, womanizing, arrogant type who gets most of his kicks from showboating and beating people in challenges, often unfairly. To his credit, Waluigi doesn't always NEED to cheat; he's shown extreme acrobatic prowess and brute strength on several occasions, such as stomping people several feet underground or swimming in midair. His special move is the 'Wall-luigi', which allows him to summon giant stretches of thorny vines.
His motifs include the colors purple and black (breaking the traditional practice of palette-swapping that was used to design Mario, Luigi, and Wario), eggplants, and bombs. His name, a portmanteau of the words 'warui', meaning 'bad' or 'evil', and 'ruiji'/Luigi, can also be rearranged to form the word 'ijiwaru', which means 'someone who is mean-spirited'.
Apparently, he owns a motor oil company, has an awkward crush on Princess Daisy, and aspires to take over the world by dancing.
