San Francisco, like much of Coastal California, is not much of a party city. Sure we have clubs and all, but for the most part, I find SF is most alive at the relaxed dives. Jazz clubs are big, and so are hookah lounges. Not much to do if you're under 21 I'm afraid as well at least not in terms of nightlife. Daytime lots of spots to go visit, hang out, etc. But it's not like NY or London's pace or even LA. If you want fast-paced, those are the cities. If you want a relaxed atmosphere SF is the place.

Hard to describe, everyone takes the city and the surrounding Bay Area a little differently.

lol Sato, you might not remember me from awhile ago, but to rebut the below statement about San Francisco....

The city is not cold during the summer, but it sure as hell isn't a true summer. We get our summers in the Fall (Indian Summers) around September-October and sometimes November depending on weather systems from Alaska.
