Random knowledge is my specialty. Especially since I read historical fiction like Outlander and Pillars of the Earth. Good books.
I tend to remember more the details than dates. It was fun when I managed to pull the name of Shakespeare's wife out of my head just in time to score major points for my team. I think we were the only team who got points that round.

It got to the point where he wouldn't let me read in history and even took the book away from me. I found this puzzling since I was usually reading the textbook; even if more than a few chapters ahead of the class. I liked history.
Well, it was no picnic I'll tell you that. I think I drove my teacher there nuts, because in history/government (the other class he taught) I would pay no attention whatsoever and got the best grades, but in math I had to pay attention and still barely passed.
its a miracle I ever got into precalc, and I can't help but wonder what my teachers were thinking to let me into that class when I barely passed teh previous two years.
I did well in high school, till I stopped paying attention in Geometry. I found out what a boneheaded move that was when the next year's math included geometry.
