Times like these
Christmas carolers sing there beautiful tunes
as I walk pass the bright streets of Christmas morning
I greet the falling snow flakes with a warm smile
reach out to grab on and let it melt in my hands
Peppermint roams in the air
pine plays around my nose
sending a sweat smell
I peak around the next block
freezing in place as i see all the beautiful lit houses
I run up to mine
small yet beautiful
I dance around the front steps
my heart beating fast
the door opens and i huge my mom tightly
I never felt so happy before
I look up from my moms welcoming huge
and there they all are
all in a bunch
like a perfect picture family
I never longed to return home
but as i stand there my face lit up like a Christmas tree
viewing each person
and i think i finally feel what this Christmas thing is all about
After all are hard times
and all are fights
i feel nothing more then love for each and every person in front of me
in the corner of my i see a sprinkle of snow fly across the room
the smell of peppermint fills my nose once again
a chuckle comes from the corner
and a sneak a glance
but there is nothing there...
I look down to see a small mitten
the colors of red and white
i smile grows in every one
i turn back to them
open the mitten
and sprinkle little bits of peppermint around them
each and every one
go a little red in the cheeks
there noses red and plump
it's times like these...
that Christmas is all about
and I wouldn't miss it for the world
to spend this time of year with the ones i love truley
taking just a second to remember the times that i hold so dear
to simply have...
a wonderful Christmas time.
