~*VOCALOID*~

~VOCALOID [VOCALOID= vocal android] is a software created by YAMAHA. It specializes as vocal synthesizer aplication by typing in lyrics and melody. It's pretty much an instrument. There are two series, VOCALOID - the first one, and VOCALOID2, which has major improvements and higher quality voice sound with each new version manufactored.

~There are a set of English and Japanese Vocaloids. Japanese ones all currently have character voice banks, [excluding the new Kamui Gackt, he's based off an actual singer] with a mascot representing them.
English ones only have two characters - Sweet Ann and Big Al; despite the fact that fans have created an "official" design for the other versions [Prima, Leon, etc.]

~For those who have seen unfamiliar looking Vocaloids [commonly Yowane Haku, Akaito, Akita Neru, etc.], these are fan-made and are Vocaloids to represent how the user of VOCALOID uses it [i.e, an owner of Vocaloid Hatsune Miku who cannot make Miku hold a note will be the owner of Voyakiloid [yes, Voyakiloid] Yowane Haku -- known for her poor talent of singing]

~*UTAU*~ [more info will be added later]

~A program very similar to VOCALOID is UTAU [UTAU= sing in Japanese], with Kasane Teto [Moi Lol] as their first CV [computer voice]. Her unit number is 0401 which is understandable -- 04 as 4th vocaloid [Crypton], and 01 as in first UTAU release. I have the link to installing UTAU (few voice banks in particular), so you can message me when I'm online. Be sure the requirements match your computer. ~Kasane Teto was rumored to be the official prototype Vocaloid before Kamui was released. Thus, since it was rumored in April, she was considered a fake and a joke. If you can understand Japanese, a song with lyrics about her [sung by Miku and herself] called "Uso no Utahime" [A Fake Diva] is posted on YouTube.

~A doujin software engine called Maidloid is based off VOCALOID and is only for eroge sound.
