I'm an illustrator on the weekends, telling stories on me own site [shameless plug[ www.seraph-studios.tk[/shameless plug] and a 1st Year Modelmaker when I'm not relaxing. I hope to eventually weave my tales into game form and have the story on every gamers' lips. This'll probably never happen but everyone can dream right?
I live in Dublin, city of sharp tongues, silly governments, and lots, and LOTS of alcohol. I've drawn for small time jobs and tend to go the way of realism due to wanting to get into the concept art industry and work for Blizz. I tend to listen to a lot of rock music and some HEAVY MEEEETAAAAAAAL(god I love metal). My personal preference of choice though is listening to Judas Priest and Elbow cause man if those two got together... hoo boy

I tend to be very energetic and enjoy long winded arguments... which usually end up going through several subjects and starting out a weee bit too inflammatory I've learned since then to NOT be such a p***k. See below for an example. I play video games a lot and Rock-man x Roll is my OTP.
I love Asia and Russia to bits as both countries have such sordid histories >:3. I like old anime but I'm willing to try new stuff from time to time. I do not have any allegiance to any tribe and do not participate in shipping wars. I do however love to discus what is going on on the interwubs at the moment. I am also *deep breath* FOR THE HORDE! If I was still playing that is...

I don't know Pendulum though. I'll look into them after I take my psychology last exam. Recently I've been listening to Belanova quite a bit. I'm not sure what country she's from, but I first heard about her from the Mexican charts. It was cute music. I have a very odd taste in music probably. Music from the anime K-On which I think started last month(so cute), Billy Joel, Lilly Allen, a bunch of Hardcore which my one friend made(they're getting better so I've started to really listen to their music), Bond, some Bolllywood Soundtracks, The Scarlet Pimpernell, JYP, Trance, 30 Seconds to Mars. spazztastic on a stick.
in all honesty? yeah.... the SAT's are really really nothing. I didn't take much extra effort to study for them at all.
But the colleges I applied to didn't really care that much about SAT's anyway. Their assessment was through the interview, essays and the assessed rigor of the school you attended.
Hmm, I don't know much about Irish schools except for levels below college and university.
But I think for a normal high school, most are lesser than those in other countries.
Of course now it's almost impossible to get into a decent school if you take regular classes or go to a regular school. Because regular classes are definitely better in other countries. You have to take at least AP, and more favorably IB, if your school offers it. And college classes in the summer are acceptable too. And you have to prove to have done something that others have not of course. You can't just study, and do community service. and god forbid, you should choose to write an essay on something as mundane as FAMILY or charity! Unless you managed to start a program which is used across the nation. I'm pretty convinced my one friend didn't get the 3rd interview for Harvard BECAUSE she wrote about her family, though I told her again and again not to. *sigh*
And U.S. does have some okay schools though. I mean Brown, and Princeton and Cornell. I might say the dreaded Harvard, but in all honesty, I would never want to apply there. It's too large and the cliche. Same with Cornell. My Dad pushed me until the last second to apply there. Didn't though.
Haverford College is my college. ^______^ BLACK SQUIRRELS! (school mascot) tiny little good college. The concept being, remain small to give students more. They do do that, and it's the most ********' random college ever. It kind of gets an image for being the school you go to if you don't go to an Ivy though. And I really do abhor when someone thinks you said Harvard when you said Haverford.
also an awesome school for the honor code. You can leave you bags and stuff anywhere and it won't be taken because of the code. It's like having a second home, a second comfort zone.
and are you kidding about Governments? Well, I guess the U.S. isn't corrupt..... but the institution in general, HONESTLY! They've become nothing short of a popularity contest!
Some might disagree, but that's how I feel. After taking a class studying the American Government and how it's developed, I hate my government too. I would rather have this, but I still don't LIKE it.
And the problem is, you can see how much it's been set into motion, and how little you can do to stop it.
All you ever seem to be able to do is choose the lesser of two evils. That's what I did for the last election.
That and because I'm quite liberal. I can never go republican for the sake of gay rights. And in personal life that opinion carries over to that I actually feel BAD for not going both ways! And environmental issues. and support for low income familys..... ********.... I really am a liberal. d;
hmm, and they do probably notice..... but what can they do about it? still sucks though. To bad there isn't a crusader politician within Ireland to help.
eh..... can't comment on the boozing part as being bad for culture for you alone..... American college can go pretty far.
I have suspicions I'll be pretty far gone this weekend. It's the end of year party. Just massive campus wide, 2 days of revelry.
So according to my oh so endearing elders, I'm going to get ******** up this weekend. and enjoy it. Maybe.... if they can get me smirnoff ice, maybe. (yeah.... i'm picky with taste... both bad and good thing eh?)

And you seem to be saying that. You don't want others to enjoy Hetalia. You think it's a horrible show. You think that it's seriously influencing peoples opinions of the world? Where am I wrong?

And of COURSE racism SHOULD be stamped out. That doesn't mean is IS. That doesn't mean when someone jokes it's racism. Is all stand up comedy racist then? Is all comedy to be eradicated from the world? You want all or nothing. If anything Hetalia works AGAINST racism. Because it's ridiculous, you can take it seriously. If a stereotype is not taken seriously, then it's ineffective.
and btw, my family tree is kind of weird.
I'm not even related to them by blood.
But I still regard them as family for the relationships I have with them. But they are strange. And to the extremes in both directions. Good and Bad. Government and the opposite direction.

And I've been to 6 of the 7 continents, the 7th being Antarctica.
And no one actually thinks that the stereotypes portrayed in Hetalia are actually true. Only an idiot would believe that.
And the Irish like the Italians and the Germans and the Puerto Ricans and the Jamaicans and Koreans, are too prevalent in the U.S. to seem foreign. They're too common.
My Dad's grandma lived in Ireland for most of her life even.
