I was talking online to a friend. He is a fellow world of warcraft player. I told him about what happened with that guy being racist towards Muslims.
It sort of turned into a huge fight....You'd think everyone would feel angry with what that guy was saying too, apparently not the case.
He started saying I was racist because I stood up for muslims.
He said he didn't hate muslims, he just doesn't want to hear about them.

So, I've woken up in a bad mood because of what happened. I'm 100% sure that he is still racist. Why would you not want to know that muslims are hard done by? Unless you hated them. He kept trying to spoon feed me 'muslim crimes' as he put it. Why? to try and make me believe aswell that they are bad? He also doesn't seem to be effected when bad s**t gets said about muslims.
And , as for me being racist. I'm not.Standing up for someone because they are being hard done by does not make me racist. Just because I will stand up for muslims doesn't mean if someone else was being hard done by that I witness, that I wouldn't stand up for them.
A question I would like to ask him is this, lets say a person that just happens to be muslim and a person who just happens to not be muslim are out in teh street, if the muslim dude attacks the non muslim dude, I would stand up for the non muslim. If the non muslim dude attacked the muslim dude, I would stand up for the muslim dude.
So, the question is, would he still be calling me a racist if I stood up for the non muslim dude?
The answer is, no.
Another thing that keeps going around in my head is something he said ages ago. That if there was a fight or somethign involving 'white' people and 'non white people', he said he would stand up for the white people regardless if they were right or wrong.
He called me a racist when I said I would stand up for whoever was right. Also saying that, 'they' wouldn't stand up for 'us' in a million years.
Am I the only person who thinks this dude is racist?
Should I even bother remaining friends with someone who's views are highly against mine, so against infact that it makes me sick? Should I even bother being friends with someone who wont let me talk about muslims unless it's in a negative light?
