I've stepped down from Moderating after many years. I had neglected my position for a while and even though it makes me sad, it was time to move on.
I'm greatly thankful to the team, to Lanzer for giving me the chance to give back, to help this wonderful site grow. We all have changed since, I don't have much comment for what Gaia has become, if it still works for it's members, then it's all good.
As for me, well I've been keeping up my new year's resolution (yay). I've made new friends, meet a lot of new people and I'm a bit more open and outgoing, I feel much better about myself, things are going great.
Which is why I guess I've stopped coming here everyday. Real life is much more promising and I want to take my chances. Gaia was my home when my life was in a more difficult situation, it was the one place I felt happy and accepted.
Now I have that in other places, is more fulfilling (and it can be hurtful too, but that's what happens when you deal with real feelings) and I'm very exited to see where that takes me.
I also decided to post this today because it's 2 years today. It just seemed fitting because it all happened here. I got support and love and I'll never forget that, wherever life takes me.

I can't say that I am surprised that you did, but if it is somthing that you feel you have to do, then that is what you do.
