One moment while I think of an event of which to recall... Hazzah! I got it! My first tale will be a number of short stories covering events that happened in my preschool years! Here it GOES!!!
Tale 1 ~ Montessori Academy
So, my preschool was called Mentessori (sp?) Academy. Just to give you a quick back round, it was owned by this old lady. One of her employees/teachers was Julie, her daughter. Another was her old friend, Alma (former nun...). From what I know, they were both blackmailed into working there...
Part 1 - The haircut
So I went to this school with my older brother. I never knew at the time, but his hair always seemed "slicker" than mine. I didn't know that in the mornings my mom would comb his hair that way. I just had my poofy bowl cut of fun. But I was jealous of his slick hair. I kept wondering to myself why my hair was so different. Then, WHABAHM! I got it! "He must cut his hair every morning I though!" Genius! I decided to take my scissors outside during recess, hide, and cut my own hair! My gawd I was so smart! So I did. I snuck them outside, ran around the building to the water fountain, and hid behind the water fountain and just started cutting away at my hair - all the while giggling at what a smart boy I was. Then, around the corner came my friend Jacob. He saw me and paused. I stopped, and said, "Don't tell anybody, okay?" He nodded and said, "Okay." Then of course, he booked it and told the teachers... I got home that night with very pissed off parents. ^_^
Part 2 - The egg
One day a nice "sciency" lady came to show us all something cool. We all sat in a circle and she brought with her a bottle of vinegar (just to show us what vinegar was. She showed us how and egg can turn all rubbery, clear, and change colors when you leave it in vinegar for a week. We were amazed! Especially me I think. Why? Because she was passing the pickled egg around so we could all feel it. When it got to me, I felt it... It was like a bouncy ball!!! Being the super genius that I was, I ran out of the circle and up a small flight of stairs (probably only a few feet high, but it looked bigger back then). All the teachers and the sciency lady yelled for me to come back. I dropped the egg down the stairs. ^.^ Becuse since if felt like a bouncy ball, it must bounce, right?... Keeheehee!
Part 3 - Halloween!
Okay, so last story. It was Halloween time and I was all set to dress up in my freakin adorable little dragon costume! Man I wish I could look back to see my epic cuteness. Anyway, we were gonna have a little kiddie version of Halloween goodness at our crazy school of weirdness. It was time to change into our costumes! Yay!!! So, the boys were instructed to go into the cubby room, get our costumes, and go into the boys bathroom to change. We had this thing where apparently we did what little kids do and only hear the part about how we get to change into our costumes. So! We went into the cubby room, got our costumes, and started changing! ... The girls did too! And, well, c'mon we were like 3 or 4 years old, so who cares. But looking back, and remembering how after we were already almost done changing (at least I was) and a bunch of girls were still in their underwear, and the teachers coming in and yelling at us for not listening, and me just still being excited that I got to wear my dragon costume. ^_^
I think the next year my friend Jacob went as a pirate (Jacob was the same one that told on me for cutting my hair). I was all jealous of his plastic hook. Someone else went as a ninja turtle! I forgot what I was that year (or maybe it was all the same year
Really, there's a lot more that I still remember about my preschool years that I could tell you, but I have later stories to requiem! (make sense???... wait, no...)
