Book of Origin

Book of Origin I Wrote:
In the beginning , there was void in the universe. Light and Dark collided endlessly, until finally an egg was formed. From this egg came Arceus, the Creator.

Upon Arceus’ birth, he wept. And from the tears of the Creator came the beginning of Time, Space, Life and Death. With the creation of these, the universe came into existence. With the creation of the universe, the Creator was content and fell into a deep slumber.

As He slept, Time and Space fought fiercely for their place. Death had no part in it and left to a world of his own making, leaving Life by itself. Life watched silently as his brothers fought and discovered a solution to the endless rage: He created an egg. From that egg came three wise beings with the power to calm Time and Space, the Spirit of Knowledge, the Spirit of Emotion, and the Spirit of Willpower. The Spirits of Life constantly buzzed between Time and Space in an attempt to calm the feuding brothers as Life created a realm for Time and Space to rule freely over.

As the Spirits of Life calmed the feuding brothers, Life floated through the universe until he found a barren world. The silence of the barren planet disturbed Life, so he created three more beings from three eggs: one to reign free over the skies, another to create and rule over the oceans and seas, and the third to shape the lands as He saw fit. As the three beings of the Sky, Land, and Sea created the planet, Life birthed two more: a being that held all the colors of the rainbow, and a being to control the climates. As Life returned to his voyage across the barren rock, he bestowed upon his two children the task of populating the world with beings to enjoy what Life had brought to the planet. With that, Life flew through the skies enjoying his creations, watching what they would do with his gift to them.

The beings of Hue and Weather smiled upon the world. With each day that passed, new creatures arose. The creatures that evolved were similar in type to the original beings, and as time went on, many of the First began to change. Many of the Originals hid deep inside the Earth to flourish and create their own habitat. The beings of Hue and Weather were pleased, and at last Weather created beings made in his image with the task of keeping a constant vigil over the climate of the new world. With said task in mind, the beings of Fire, Ice, and Lightning were born.

The three children flew through the skies and controlled the elements in order to ensure stability under Sky’s reign but above Land and Sea. Fire, Ice, and Lightning combined their efforts to ensue the task Weather had bestowed upon them, but no matter how they tried, their efforts were for naught. The Elements cried in sorrow and Hue and Weather were heartbroken; they let out a call to the Creator to ease the suffering of His offspring. For many days and nights their cries went unanswered until amidst the chaos of the Elements, Land, and Sea flowers began to bloom. Inside of the flowers, Gratitude was born. With each step He took, vegetation would grow. He spoke and said “Do not cry. Your creator has sent me to assist you.” With the birth of Gratitude, the Earth rejoiced and new life arose.

As the years progressed, one of the species gave itself a name; Human. Humans took it upon themselves to label their fellow creations as Pokemon. As Human and Pokemon coexisted peacefully, the Creator rewarded the Earh with a new being, the “Wishmaker”. The Wishmaker had the power to grant wishes to whomever he chose.

The humans welcomed the Wishmaker and used him to make their existence on Earth easier. But the humans became zealous with power and took it upon themselves to create Pokemon gods. And by the Wishmaker’s hand, Human created the Colossus out of ice, rock, and steel. The Colossus was the ruler of the land and its substance, a truly formidable figure. The Colossus created servants in his liking to shape the land further, one of ice, one of rock, and one of steel. Under the rule of man, the Colossus and his servants ravaged the land with their unruly power. The Wishmaker was mortified at the behavior of man and vowed to sleep for a millennia so that his power would not be misused. With that, He vanished from the world.

With the creation of the Colossus and his servants, man set out to rule over all Pokemon with their newly created god. Glacier charged through many of the lands, encasing anything in his path with ice. As Mountain and Alloy searched the land for Pokemon, mountains crumbled and structures fell. The Colossus with his limitless strength, divided the continent into four areas to catalyze the search and the eventual reign of man over all.

Life was displeased at the actions of man, so he transformed the Wishmaker’s creations into Pokemon. The new Pokemon were ashamed with their actions under man’s command, so they hid in distant regions of the world. The humans, fearful of their creations, followed and entombed them so no one would ever command the Colossus and his servants.

Realizing what they had done the humans repented, and begged for forgiveness to all Pokemon. The Pokemon were livid, furious and tired, They had one motive in mind: revenge. However, Life was ready to forgive. In a gesture of faith, He summoned a servant of time: the Time Traveler. The Time Traveler showed the ancient humans the beginning of the universe and how they had come into existence through Pokemon. As a final gift, the Time Traveler brought forth a single blue egg and and bestowed the egg unto the humans.

“Protect the Prince of the Sea.”

The humans were left in awe and wonder at the gifts that they had received. They were touched by the gesture and vowed to never harm the beings known as Pokemon.

Humans continued to explore the newly formed lands while staying true to their word, and Life continued to reward them in good faith. Two new Pokemon were brought into being by the hands of life: the Beings of Man. Latios and Latias were playful Pokemon who loved the humans as much as the humans loved them. They watched with glee as the humans worked diligently to improve their civilizations. Through communication between the Beings and man, Humans began to develop a method to communicate. Life created the Unown to educate the humans of the existence of language, and from these new Pokemon, the frst written history was recorded. As civilization grew, so did the people and their ideas. Under the guidance of the Unown they named the lands the Colossus had created Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.

To further progress the evolution of Humans, the Spirits of Life summoned two beings from the realm of the Creator: the Beings of Slumber. Under the watch of the Beings of Slumber, man was able to dream and enter the realm of their unconscious minds. The two Beings of Slumber guided man through their minds, ensuring a safe slumber by influencing their thoughts in order to communicate ideas. The Being of Nightmares spoke of tragedies and calamities, and the Being of Dreams spoke of miracles and wonders. Through the Beings of Slumber, man learned of the creation of the Earth by the wings of Hue and Weather.

In honor of the children of Life, two towers were erected in a human city, towers for the beings to call their sanctuaries. But by an accident of fate, the Tower of Weather caught fire and collapsed, killing three Pokemon. Humans and Pokemon alike mourned the loss of the three, and begged for Life to renew them to the Earth. Life heard the calls of man and Pokemon alike, and turned to his child Hue with the task of making things as he saw fit. Hue felt the sorrow of the world, so He reincarnated the dead into Elements of Land to compliment those of the Sky.

As time moved forward, peace seemed like a dream. The humans and Pokemon had lost their bonds from ancient times, and now battles for fun and sport took place. No one remembered the old ways, nor did they care. Battles were sanctioned in leagues, and in other darker places of the world battles were used to steal things. In the end, the Creator will wake from his ancient sleep and summon his children to the Hall of Origin. When he awakens, judgment will be passed.

Book of Origin II Wrote:
Some will tell you that there once was nothing. This is incorrect, there has always been a universal spirit, just because time and space didn’t exist does not mean that nothing did.

Can you understand my children? All times were one time, there was no past, no present, no future. Simply existence. Everything was separated and everything was instantaneous. Oh, but perhaps I ramble…

The cosmic energy, the very essence of our world, it took form. It became a single being, the one that would create us all. This being was everything you could ever imagine, yet, at the same time nothing. For remember children, we are only what others see in us. Reacting with each other is something that everything must do and as I have already said this being was everything.

However there are things that remain incomprehensible, things that are unimaginable in the purest sense of the word. An indescribable force, a fractured mirror with a flawed reflection. Just as a reflection mimics reality this Force granted itself a form… a flawed, ever changing, and mutating form.

This being decided to create our world. To do so however it would first need to define the borders of existence. For this purpose it created the concepts of what we now call Time and Space. Upon further consideration it decided that all things must come to an end so it created a transition to a new existence… one beyond our imagining. We have since called this transition Death. A shame it has such a negative connotation. Regardless, I ramble.

These concepts had been created but ran rampant. Remember, the ironclad laws of our world didn’t exist at this point. The manifestation of the cosmic energy divided itself into four embodiments. The lord of Time, Lord of Space, Lord of Death and Origin.

The Three Lords immediately retreated to their own realms and haven’t been seen in our world for generations. Origin on the other hand was to create all that would exist.

Origin created our world and all the beings that inhabit it. We ourselves are all children of Origin you know. You would do well to remember that.
Origin first created Land and Sea. Assigning a Ruler to each, the Ruler of Land and the Ruler of Sea. These beings were immensely powerful and, as with all siblings a fierce rivalry ensued. The world was in chaos and Origin was mortified. In order to rectify its mistake it decided to create another being to keep Land and Sea under control. In doing so the Ruler of Weather was created.

For a time Origin was content.

Eventually however even the most patient of beings shall become bored. Origin was by nature a creative and playful spirit so it came as no surprise when the urge to create renewed itself. Origin created a plethora of beings to inhabit the world it had created. These first attempts were not the beautiful lives that Origin had envisioned. They were savage and ruthless and preyed upon each other. They reacted normally on land but high in the skies, or deep beneath the earth, beyond Origin’s detection. Origin created more and more species, getting significantly better with the second set and finally having a peaceful utopia. Eventually however the disappearing creatures led to the discovery of the true ruthlessness of Origin’s first creations.

Origin’s calm peaceful nature was destroyed. The childlike innocence shattered. Hatred and Malice would creep into things no matter what they were. In a fit of rage Origin created a fall of earth and wiped out all of the weaker and impure beings he had created. This was referred to as The Great Purge and evidence of its existence is still visible in the form of skeletons and fossils of those original monsters.

For a long time Origin debated whether or not to recreate life. Most of the species had died and those that hadn’t still didn’t live peacefully together. The Purge had wiped out any chance of a utopia for the creatures inhabiting our world. Seeing the creator eradicate the creations forced thoughts of destruction and darkness into the minds of all the surviving creations.

Eventually after much consideration Origin decided to focus on the mistakes from the previous attempt. Origin focused on the area above the world and the area below it. He decided that the purest of his creations would protect each. In his search he came across a pair of lovers. These two he decided were perfect for the positions; they were compassionate, kind and gentle. It is a cruel truth that those who wish to be together often need to be separated for the greater good. You would do well to remember that as well children.

Origin altered the two lovers to more fitting forms. In a strange act of compassion their original forms were kept and modified rather than completely redesigned. A radiant bird of the sun’s golden rays became the Keeper of the Skies and a pale bird of the ocean’s moonlit reflection became the Keeper of the Deep.

The two lovers were heartbroken. They detested being separated but owed Origin a debt of gratitude for being created in the first place. They proceeded to do their assigned duties and continue to do so to this day yet they were wracked with sorrow.

Origin saw this display of duty and selflessness and was impressed. It began to rethink the notion of the lives it had created. The hatred and depression towards its original children resurfaced and clouded Origin’s mind. Conflicting philosophies driving it mad with pain and confusion. In an attempt to ease the agony Origin split the darkness, malice and hatred from its body. Before Origin could wipe the Darkness from existence altogether it fled.

Its mind finally cleared Origin attempted to fix things. In an act of mercy it created three emissaries to deliver messages between the two lovers. Ensuring that though they would never be together they would always be able to stay in touch. In addition Origin created another pair of Lovers out of respect, allowing them to peacefully live their lives uninterrupted by the torment of duty.

Afterwards Origin decided to make another set of species as an elegy for the innocents lost in The Purge. Minor modifications to certain designs led to species that were very similar in some aspects yet still different enough to be considered new. These creatures lived in relative harmony among each other for a very long time.

If you remember, when Origin separated itself from the malice and hatred it contained the Darkness took flight before it could be completely eradicated. This evil took refuge in the night, embraced it, and after a time manifested into a physical embodiment of hatred, malice and despair. This Darkness wallowed in its own stagnant hatred and grew more and more vengeful towards the creature that existed during the day.

As it grew stronger so did its desire for revenge. It snuck out past the watchful eye of Origin and tormented all it could. Over time even this wouldn’t satisfy its need for pain. Finally the Darkness took a form more ghastly than anything you or I could imagine. This Darkness emerged from the dawn and immersed the world in misery. Wiping out almost every living thing it could find. Within hours the world was down to only a handful of beings.

Origin was enraged. Its indignation gave way to power. In its fury it released a tremendous amount of energy. Of Light. Through the powers of the Cosmic Essence it shaped the light into another being. This Light clashed with the Darkness and through a long and heated struggle managed to inflict a terrible blow to the Darkness. Once again the Darkness fled from obliteration.

Origin would not accept this. It created a set of three Seekers. The Seeker of Lightning, The Seeker of Flame and The Seeker of Aurora. Each would use their abilities to illuminate the world and hunt down the Darkness wherever it may lurk. Led by the Light they would roam the land and eliminate the Darkness once and for all. To this day they hunt it still.

But now Origin was once again left with an almost barren land. The Old Ones. The Rulers, Lovers and Keepers had survived through the destruction but apart from then life was spread out few and far between the land and seas. Origin wept and sank into a fit of despair. The world was in ruins yet again… The Darkness’ war on life and battle with Light had resulted in yet another cataclysm. This period is referred to as The Great Calamity.

It is at this point that Origin fled to its siblings. First it fled to Death. Death had always been a very dutiful and solemn Lord. It refused to interfere in the affairs of our world.

Next Origin fled to Space. Space feared that it did not have the ability to change anything and Origin was once again refused aid.

Finally Origin pleaded with The Lord of Time. The two conferred and Time asked for the assistance of The Lord of Space. The two created a being known only as The Voyager. This being could freely move through Time and Space and bend the laws set by the Original One so long ago.

Death has always resented The Voyager, it is the sole entity able to return those from the next realm to ours. Whenever the two cross paths Death attempts to wipe The Voyager from our plane of existence. But that’s a story for another day.

First, The Voyager, acting on the command of Origin travelled to the time before the Purge and brought with it some of the species wiped out. Secondly it managed to salvage some of the species wiped out by The Calamity. Its work done The Voyager now travels freely through time and space. What it does is known by none but it has been known to present itself to individuals of our world from time to time.

In order to prevent any further catastrophes Origin crafted a set of Advisors. The Advisors of Knowledge, Emotion and Personality. These three conferred with each other and designed a final set of species to balance out the world. Among theses species were us. Origin then created the final generation and decided that it was done with our world. Whether or not we were to succeed was left in the hands of the Advisors and the species they had created. Origin departed to travel through time and space.

It is at this point that I must bring your attention back to the Flawed Reflection. It had remained distant up until this point; however, like any reflection it needed something to mimic. As the Original One divided itself the Reflection lost it’s Original. What it had originally looked like cannot be fathomed but now it mutated, became nothing more or less than a Concept. This Concept travelled throughout time and space searching for something, anything to reflect.

The smarter children have already figured out what’s going to happen. As the realization dawns within them the speaker pauses and a wry smile forms across her cracked and aged lips. For the benefit of the younger ones she continues.

Origin created our world and travelled through time and space. Whether it created more worlds before or afterwards is something that we may never know. Although personally I believe it did create other worlds. I have heard reports of foreign creatures not native to this planet descending from the moon and other stranger places.

Regardless, at some point Origin and the Flawed Reflection met. It is hard to understand the Reflection’s emotions but the closest feeling we can understand that would compare to it would be ecstasy. Pure, un-ending ecstasy. An Ecstasy that, were any of us to experience would doubtless destroy our minds.

At last, a host. The reflection leapt towards Origin and assumed a warped guise. A new being was born, the polar opposite of Origin. Destruction. A blasphemous existence, living only to destroy that which Origin creates. Many battles were fought between Origin and Destruction but the balance of power was unequal. While Origin assumed only a fraction of the Original One’s power Destruction contained all the energy, and all the incomprehensible madness, of the Flawed Reflection of the Original One.

Origin now runs through space and time, trying to protect the creations it has made from the wrath of Destruction. As each of its creations died Origin’s spirit slowly began to deteriorate. Now it is only a matter of time until the Reflection’s messiah, Destruction, sets its sights upon our world.

Eons later, yet still many centuries ago a trio of odd beings appeared. My ancestors referred to them as The Three Kings. These Three Kings were said to be tributes left behind by the Three Lords; Time, Space and Death. In addition each of them had a Servant. The Servant of Time was a cheerful little Aspect of The Sea. The Servant of Space was a fearsome Beast of iron and flame and the Servant of Death was a small spark of Life itself. It was said that a Fourth King existed. The Three Kings would join their bodies and become One.

However, if it is to believed that these Kings represent mementos of the Lords of old then the Fourth King could only represent the Original One. If so then there is clearly something amiss. The three Lords only make up a fraction of the Original One. Origin was the final piece of the Original One. Yet my ancestors make no mention of a memento of Origin and the Fourth King still awakened all those centuries ago. Have you figured it out yet children?

The speaker smiles and gazes at her audience. Of the two dozen children who began the tale only one remains awake. Her wide violet eyes gaze back into the Speakers and her mouth is agape.

Hope my child. That is the memento of Origin. Hope for the future and Hope for all the beings of our world. Hope will save us from Destruction my child. Just as the Fourth King was formed from the Three Kings and Hope so too will the Original One return when the Three Lords and Origin meet to do battle with Destruction. The time will soon be upon us when the Hall of Origin shall appear and the Reflection shall finally come face to face with the Original for the first time.
