Tessa raised her arms as a maid pulled on an undercoat, just then she heard scurrying footsteps suddenly halt. "No no, the countress dislikes green. Fetch her the red dress." Tessa felt her fists tighten and her blood racing." I refuse to knowingly woo that witch. I shall wear the green garment." Eugene gestured towards the red as the maid silently nodded in acknowlegement.
" M'lady you are not being taken seriously. Your chaperone seems to be defying your direct orders for you cannot see what he has done." Tessa recognized Aster's voice at once but spared no time before screaming her demands " Out! All of you ruffians! How dare you innovate on my weakness? Out! Or I shall have father take your heads!" The maids exited in a hurry while eugene risked a small bow before his retreat.
"Aster... Are they all gone?" Whispered Tessa as she groped around the floor for her cane, her frail body breathless from the earlier rage. "Yes m'lady, quite." He answered while lending her a hand." But how are you to dress without the maids?" Tessa tapped upon the marble floor with her walking stick. She stopped as it hit the soft textile sprawled around the cold hard floor. "That is the red. I have the green m'lady." "Thank you." She mumbled on recieving it and tugging it over her head. Aster gave her assistance as she felt for the clasps and buttons. " To the gardens." She said, extending her free hand to Aster's.
