Trouble At The U.W.C.

Fox pulled up to the building where the conference was being held. After driving to the back of the building a man signaled for Fox to stop.

Stepping up to the car window the man spoke. "Evnin sir, how can i help you?"

"Headed to the U.W.C." Fox said handing the man his pass and ID. "What happened to Leo? Ive never seen anyone but him before."

"Dunno. Just never showed up." the man checked Fox's things then let him pass.

Fox was just a little cautious. He had help build the U.W.C.to what it was today and several of the security men -including Leo- were on his payroll. Fox shrugged "There is no way anyone would try to cross me here of all places...would they?"

Before stepping out of his car Fox slid one of his Desert Eagles out of the console and into his jacket and made sure his knife was unclipped.

Fox was waiting in the back of the showcase room when he heard a familiar voice call is name.

"Hey Fox!"

He turned to see someone he hadn't seen in years. "Silus! Good to see you." he smiled and shook his hand. "Its been a long time."

"No s**t it has!" Silus laughed "When i heard 'The Great Fox Himself' was showing up i though it was a mistake."

Fox laughed himself. "No friend it was no mistake, i plan on bringing Umbrella back. Maybe not the way everyone thinks, but its coming back."

"Good to hear. Well ive got to head out. Ill check out the live stream." Silus said handing him a piece of paper."Keep in touch, eh?"

"I ll keep you in mind." Fox nodded.

"Oh watch out, Black Phoenix is doin a show this year. They have been doin' some crazy things with their tech.

"Ill keep that in mind. See you around, Silus."

Fox sat backstage for hours watching the different showcases.

The standard companies such as Colt, H&K and Magnum Research showing off their various new guns. Some of which gave fox a new idea or two for VX.

Scion Robotics Division showed promise when they unveiled a large human piloted combat suit, but due to a power surge the mech's power supply exploded, ending the showcase short due to the pilot being injured.

Another company called Arma Tek showcased a series of guns with flexible barrels for shooting around corners. All was going well until one of the handguns exploded, taking the mans hand with it. "Ugh. Poor b*****d..." Fox whispered.

The last showcase was a car that could transform into a boat. A little silly looking Fox thought but it showed promise when it transformed without a hitch. Estimated time till it showed up on the market? twelve years at least.

Finally it was Fox's turn and he approached the stage to prep for his showcase.

Just as the curtain opened Fox slipped on his headset and walked to center stage.

"Welcome everyone! I hope you've been enjoying your time here. I know Ive seen a few things interest myself." The crowd seemed to be only mildly interested but Fox continued. "So its been a few years since my last show. Ever since the debacle at Raccoon City Umbrella has all but gone bankrupt. Well that was the old Umbrella, the selling illegal Bio-weapons and killing millions of people Umbrella. Well that's not the the way its going down any longer. Id like to introduce you to my new company!" Fox paused for effect and raised his hands as the jumbo tron behind him lit up with the new logo "Introducing NEO Umbrella!"

The crowd became a little more lively and interested. "Of course i don't show you this with the expectation that everyone will just instantly trust what i say. By no means am i that egotistical. Instead I'm going to prove to you that NEO Umbrella is a place you'll want to invest in in the future. lets begin shall we?"

"First up i have something that will hopefully get the attention of most people here. Now a lot of people have come together to help erase the B.O.W.s still making their way around the world on the black market. TerraSave, The B.S.A..A. all of these people are still cleaning up Umbrella's mess. Well i have a solution to that."

Fox turned to the table on his left and popped open three large silver cases. Pulling a small gun he held it up just as a 3D view appeared on the screen behind him.

First up i give you the first in the VX Anti-B.O.W. the VX Dagger the standard weapon comes in the basic 9x19 Parabellum. But manufacturing of other caliber sizes is already under way. Currently HK 4.6×30mm, .45 ACP and .50 AE are in development. The crowd looked mixed on the gun. "Now you may be asking yourself 'But Fox why just make another high tech gun?' well my friends its not just another gun."

Fox set the gun back in the box and pulled out a bullet with a clear midsection. "This is the first in a line of new anti-B.O.W. ammunition. You see the clear part of the bullet holds a new concoction of mine. Its called Anti-T. The Anti-T enters the bloodstream of B.O.W.s and attacks the T-Cells and destroys them. The effect are nearly instantaneous and basically dissolves the creature into one big pile of nothing."

Several members of the crowd began clapping and cheering and Fox new the crowd was his.

After winning the crowd Fox decided to do a quick rindown on the other guns he had to display.

VX Battering Ram: Automatic shotgun designed for both combat and door breaching. Comes in 12, 10 and 8 gauge for military applications and 20, 18, 16 and 12 gauge in semi auto civilian versions. Anti-T rounds not available yet.

VX Longsword: A High power rifle. Additional night vision and T-Virus detector scopes (T-Seeker) available. Comes in.223 WSSM, .308Win, .338 Lapua Magnum, .450 Nitro Express, 577 Tyrannosaur and .700 Nitro Express. Anti-T available in all calibers. Civilian models come in .223 Remington, .30-06 Springfield, .308 Marlin Express and .350 Remington Magnum.
Also uses unique VX rounds:
Gray: Smoke
Red: Incendiary
Green: Acid Burst
Yellow: Shock/Stun
Blue: Liquid Nitrogen
Black: Proximity Bomb

VX Broadsword: A Battle Rifle chambered for either 5.56 or 7.62. Anti-T for both calibers. No Civilian model yet. Also compatible with the VX Catapult GL.

VX Javelin: High explosive rocket launcher. T-Seeker and Infrared scopes available. Rockets come in Standard, EMP and HENB (High Explosive Napalm Burst).

"Sadly everyone that's all i have to show today. I hope everyone enjoyed the show, i know i did it, was good to show off all of mine and all of my employees at VX Industries and NEO Umbrella. Have a great day."

As the curtains closed Fox smiled and took a deep breath. "Looks like we really are back in business."  

[Silus Bluefox]

Silus stood near the back wall as Fox finished his demo. "Look like Fox pulled it again."

Silas noticed two men moving through the crowd out of the corner of his eye. "What is this?" He turned toward them, one of them wore a black hooded trench coat and the other was a very tall man dressed in light security armor. As they stepped out of the crowd and addressed him.

"Silus Salvatore?" The big security guy asked

"Uh...Whos askin'?

"The commander of D.A.A.R.T." The hooded man asked pushing his hood back, revealing a bright blue, cybernetic eye.

"Dart huh? Sorry never heard of it." Silus shrugged.

"Regardless we need you to come with us."

"Sorry i got things to do, So piss off"

Suddenly Silus felt a cold, metal, grip on the back of his neck and froze.

"How about this; you come with us or i crush your neck." Came an Asian woman's voice.

Silus put his hands out to his sides. "Ok! ********, ill go!"

Before being moved away Silus moved his hands behind his back and pressed a button on his watch.

Fox took a seat in the front row just as the curtains raised revealing Artemis Phoenix and four large, humanoid machines with camouflage paint jobs . A blue, a green, a brown and a white one.

"Greetings everyone! How is the U.W.C, treating you all today?"

Well, your probably wondering what these beauties behind me are, yes?" She smiled as she walked to her table and pulled out a small laptop. "These are the Mark one Phoenix Recon/Attack Drones!"

"Now, unlike some other combat drone prototypes trying to get on the marketplace, these models are superior in every way." She pressed some keys on her computer then said. "Quad Squad One, step forward." In unison the four drone stepped forward.

"Now as you can see we will have four models in production. Aquatic, desert, arctic and jungle." As she spoke she pointed to the blue one then the brown, white and green. "We also have plans for high altitude and mining models as well."

Fox was impressed by what he saw but was beginning to get bored with her long winded speech so he got up and headed for the door.

"As of right now we have a small team of D.A.R.T. personnel with a Quad Squad on a field mission in South America."

Fox froze. "What?" He turned to see Artemis; a look of triumph on her face.

Silus sat tied to a chair in the center of a small room. "I dont know what you want from me, i don't know any trade secrets if that's what you're after."

"Its not what you know, but who you know." The big guy said. "We are interested in your relationship with B.E.A.R. Captain Lucian Fox."

"Well I'm definitely not telling you s**t about him. Are you ********' stupid?" Silus laughed. "If he even found out you ******** were interrogating me he would tear your ********' hearts out."

Suddenly the sound of gunfire was heard.

Silus smirked. "What did you guys do?"

Fox stood staring at Artemis as she glowered at him. "Now that i have your attention, i would like to speak with you."

"What the hell do you want?"

"Well, i want you dead, but we'll get to that in a minute..."

"Where are you sending those drones?" Fox asked furiously "If you lay a single hand on my team I'll kill you!"

"Oh it wont be me laying a hand on anyone. If your team just happens to be in the area of my one of my sweeper teams that's not my fault." She said with a shrug.

Fox drew his gun with his right hand and unsheathed his knife with the other. "I will put you down b***h, just try me."

Artemis laughed obnoxiously loud. "I would like to see you try." She said pulling a small remote out of her jacket pocket. "Really."

As she pressed the button she spoke "Turn to target." As one all of the people in the audience rose and turned on Fox.

Fox looked to his right then his left. "Well i see you've stolen some of Umbrellas P30."

"Stolen!? Ha! Umbrella facilities everywhere are selling everything they can in order tom bail themselves out of trouble." She said bringing her hand to her chest. "And i just happened to be there to purchase it."

Fox stood at the center of the room, surrounded. "You know this is only going to end badly for you, right?"

"Ha! What are you going to do? Kill all the people who are funding all of your little projects?"

"I dont have to kill anyone but you." Suddenly Fox drew his gun and fired two shots towards Artemis.

Artemis stood confused. She turned to see the bullet holes In the screen behind her. "Hahaha. Guess you aren't as good as everyone thinks" she said turning back to Fox. Suddenly she felt a searing pain in her chest as she realised he was an inch from her face.

"No. Im better than anyone thinks." He said with a smile, twisting the knife that was now deep in her heart. "Now just die."

Fox yanked the knife out then stabbed her six more times in the stomach for good measure. "Do. Not. ********. With. My. Team."  

[Silus Bluefox]

"A broom closet? You're really holding me in a broom closet?" Silus asked increincredulously "Are you going for stereotypical bad guy? Cause its working."

"Shut your mouth before I put a bullet in you."

"Ok. Ok..."

After a few minutes of silence Silus began to whistle the theme song from his favorite video game.

"Oi! I said shut it!"

"Oi? Lol. Who says oi?" Silus started laughing.

"Ok now Im going to kill you." The guard un-holstered his gun.

"Well if you must, but before you do that... Isn't that an odd place for a piano?" Silus asked looking up.

The guard looked up, confused and Silus slipped his hands free from the rope and hit him with an uppercut.
