I've never heard a 'slam' poem that could keep my interest, and I've never meet a 'slam' poet who wasn't a total douchebag.

I absolutely love slam poetry!

Well actually I haven't heard a lot of it, but Taylor Mali writes some pretty awesome stuff. I have performed his work and it was pretty sweet. Even in the Poetry category where everything is depressing, his poems fit right in [even though they're rather funny sometimes].

Slam poetry is basically what happens when I decide to be a rant-happy chauvinistic jerk on stage instead of on the internet.
     
Currently working on The Last Giant. Short story. 1413 words long.

I hate to say it, but I've got to agree. I avoid slam nowadays.
     
I can make life less confusing.
