I bought a Shrinky Dink machine a week ago at Zellers! They always keep their old toys for sale, unlike Wal-Mart! whee

I also bought a little Hello Kitty house, that came with Hello Kitty characters to color and shrink. It's so cool! whee

They were stickers of famous characters and such that you could color then put them in the oven and watch them shrink into smaller pictures.

Those were so cool, back in the day! I remember at least having Smurk ones...maybe Spider-Man as well, but it was many moons ago. Saw the machines at Michael's...so tempting...would be awesome to make up figurines of my own characters!

Oh yeah! I had one of those...though under a different name I think. But it still worked. You could also draw your own pictures. I loved that thing.

I heard bursting and thought, "WTF?! TIMIRS A MOMMY?!"

The sad thing is I don't think they sell refills anymore... The only place to get them is on ebay. sad

I buy some at the dollar store though, but you can't draw your own pictures, the sheets are already printed with teddy bears and stuff... but at least it goes in the little oven! whee

4laugh i LOVE shrinky dinks! heart i make my own anime jewelry shrinky dinks 3nodding (damn that sounds geeky sweatdrop )

i've found tons of packs of blank refills at art/craft stores... they sell them in different sizes to i think. i don't think they are that exspensive either...

you don't even need the machine to make them. just the paper and an oven. some kids i used to babysit had gotten some shrinky dink paper, but their machine was broken, so we tried the oven on low heat, and voila! they came out exactly the same! they were so much fun...

Naughty LittleGreenGirl.

Wanna see a pink elephant?

I have a book with the shrinky dink paper and a bunch of ideas and things you can trace in it. Hehe, it's so old but I still love it. Can't say I've made any recently though...maybe in the last year or two. whee
